We had checked in prior to arriving, despite this, someone was in our room. The man at checkout wasn’t apologetic but we did get a nice room overlooking the harbour. We returned after going out to eat and settled down in the comfy bed, about an hour later we were woken up by a party on a boat very close to our room. We closed the balcony door, but a combination of the air conditioning not working and the music getting louder, we couldn’t sleep. It sounded like someone kept turning the music up really loud and then someone else would turn it back down. At about 5.20am there was very loud shouting before it eventually settled down and we got a couple of hours sleep. I realise that the hotel can’t be responsible for ****** partying, but they could have intervened. Small but comfy and clean room. Small but functional bathroom with good shower. The car park wasn’t free as advertised but it only cost €2 for 7pm - 11 am

Disappointing and not as described. If I hadn't prepaid this we would have immediately left. Firstly parking is not free the information is incorrect. Secondly as stated on their web site rooms "were renovated in early 2024" no evidence of this! The room we were given was old,and dated,so we asked for an alternative and eventually were given another room that has not seen any renovation whatsoever.Small window looking onto the car park and I don't believe all the sea view rooms were taken. The bathroom was the size of a phone box with a small towel each!.. Breakfast was in a small dated room, with small tables with an unfriendly staff member who clearly dislikes her job. It was a poor experience and not to the usual standard,in fact it was grim.We packed up quickly and got out, after paying our parking of course. The location is all old, dated and in need of TLC,the marina area being completely unsafe for anyone with children or pets because of the huge drop and no safety barriers. Never again!

On arrival into the barrier restricted car park ( not free),We checked in and were immediately given a so called upgrade from an unfriendly receptionist. Reception is a tiny dark area down some steps from the car park. This room 211 was not the room we booked and was a family duplex,a dated room with small old wooden stairs overlooking the car park. It was also smelly and small. So we returned to reception and declined the so called upgrade and asked for the room we had paid and booked, through their website. What came to light was a "we don't have it available " so something else then,"a disabled room" was offered,no thanks just the room we have already paid for. After what seemed like an eternity a queue formed qnd eventually we were given a room of the same standard as we had booked. We overlooked our car and the road, great! No helpful information or even a simple courtesy for a messy start a scowling looking receptionist shooed us away. We were about to ask for a refund and go elsewhere this was a bad experience. Now the room quite simply we will never stay again. Any mention of a refurb is nonsense it isn't in the same condition as many other Ibis hotels that charge less. Small windows, pokey bathroom and sloppy pillows with dingy decor. One towel each,no hand towel,we were informed "we don't do that here". No bin in the room and a bathroom the same as a ferry boat with a poor shower. Breakfast was in a cramped room with tiny tables not well laid out or managed. It was barely functional with insufficient space for the number of guests. Breakfast included a very surly unpleasant unprofessional madam barking at guests and made it eventful for the wrong reasons. We packed up paid our parking, not free as listed this is misinformation and got out of the gloomy environment. The two stars are only for the reasonably comfortable bed and nothing else.

Well located hotel overlooking the marina. Comfortable bed with a nice view and windows that can be opened for fresh air. Plenty of parking outside the hotel which was not expensive for an overnight stay. Restaurant in the hotel but we did not use it.

Stayed for one night before taking the ferry from Cherbourg and would definitely return to this hotel in future. Granville is a really interesting town and the Ibis is in a perfect location in the port. Being able to check in at 12:00 was a real plus and all the staff were friendly and helpful, especially in the bar and at breakfast. We liked everything about this hotel, the room was bright, airy and comfortable, the shower was superb and the bar was a really welcoming and relaxing place to enjoy a drink overlooking the port. You have to pay to park but it is not expensive and worth it for the convenience of parking right outside.

Very good Ibis hotel In Granville Normandy. Staff v v welcoming and I had a nice clean standard Ibis room, dual aspect (smallish windows) overlooking the Marina. Plentiful public free car parking on site and it felt perfectly safe to leave the car. Breakfast Continental fare, fresh and buffet style. I’d 100% use it as base again to tour Normandy just be aware it’s about a two hour drive to the D Day beaches.

We had two rooms for a family of 5. The location of the hotel is perfect overlooking the yacht harbour, check in was smooth and the hotel staff were really helpful and polite. Evening meal was taken in the attached restaurant and the food was perfect. Breakfast is best taken outside looking out over the harbour. The hotel is ideally located and Granville is a lovely town. Parking is free but it did take a while to find a space. We would definitely stay here again when crossing to Cherbourg.

Just the sort of hotel, restaurant and town to end a good holiday. Everything we needed was catered for. Very good aspect. if there was a problem it was the parking. we were there during a festival weekend and the parking was difficult.
