located very close to the amazon theater, the Taj Mahal is a very old hotel, the room despite being spacious and with good air conditioning, has problems with the facilities such as torn curtains, peeling floors, old and threadbare sheets, questionable pillow... but All this is already expected because the amount they charge is very low. You can't expect much more than that for this rate.

The hotel is great, with a good location. Only the service that leaves something to be desired, they almost don't find my reservation

Um ótimo hotel, café da manhã muito bom, funcionários simpáticos e excelentes, MUITO PRESTATIVOS , não tem tempo ruim, qualquer horário eles estão prontos a ajudar. Mas o prédio em si está antigo, mofo, infiltrações, TV não pega bem, ar condicionado gela relativamente. Irá se hospedar bem, mas em um prédio muito antigo e precisando de reparos.

This place is awful. DO NOT DO IT, THERE IS NOT A JUSTIFIABLE REASON ON EARTH TO STAY HERE. The location is fine I guess, but one would almost rather be outside suffering in the heat than return to this rundown and poor excuse for lodging. I am quite tolerant of bad quality, but this goes beyond the mark. I knew not to have my expectations to high when I saw the price, but, I am just insulted by what I found here. The bathtub, in the photos, is so disgusting and deteriorating that the bottom of it bent and wobbled as if it were about to give out in the bottom. I will be quite surprised if it doesn't collapse in the next few weeks. The mattress, filthy and falling apart, was made with only one not-fitted sheet. So, not only do you have no covers, but when you wake up, you have found yourself bathing in the horror of the brown-stained exploding foam mattress. When we went to call the front to ask for a new sheet, the phone doesn't work. When we go downstairs to speak with the front desk, completely useless. I am not the type of tourist to travel and expect everyone to speak my language, be it English, Spanish, or Dutch, however; I work in tourism and it is just common sense that in a hotel in the centre of an international tourist destination that the hotel staff speak enough of one of the major languages spoken in the same hemisphere, at least the words for common things in the hotel. The location is excelent, closed to the Teatro Amazonas with lots of restaurants and bars nearby.

The localitation is perfect, close to the city center.

In the city. Good location for stores. Older building. Front desk area smells nice. Room had toilet flushing issue and was changed promptly to another room. Our son enjoyed the roof too pool a lot. Breakfast was good.

There was only two channels on the tv but the food was good, a lot of options vegetarian and vegan. Also it was pretty big and the pool looked nice. The breakfast had reasonable times. The were ok but overall this was a great hotel. The location was awesome grocery stores and the theatre was right beside us. Uber pickup was easy and fast. It would be best if you came with someone or even two people, because the room has a lot of space. Totally recommend!!

I arrived at the hotel at 2:30 AM. Staff were friendly and efficient. I stayed only one night and my room was fine. My bed comfortable and the bathroom clean.

The hotel has everything to become a great hotel. However, they sin in small things of paramount importance. Example: elevator buttons that don't work, dripping shower, dripping faucets, lamps and light fixtures without bulbs, ripped curtains that just need to be patched and they are good. I'm talking about apartment 1002. Overall, better service at the bar at night. If you want an opener, it's a glass, too small by the way to drink wine, it's a sacrifice, with the impression that you're going to steal the opener and the glass. Where have you ever seen someone sign a note to pick up a glass that costs no more than R$10.00 and an opener for R$1.99? In addition, stained floors in the apartment. If you don't have to change it, just pass a clean everything that the stains come out. Understand one thing: I'm a businessman and my biggest fear is when my customers don't complain and change suppliers. The hotel was built in the 1990s and probably at the time it must have been luxurious and comfortable. Currently, the hotel is run down and poorly maintained. The elevators are faulty, there are fire hose doors tied with plastic bags, the cleaning is bad in general, there is a lot of water wasted with the tap dripping, the bed is small and the mattress is not comfortable, there are only 5 TV channels , which go off the air constantly…

We spent one night, it was good. Breakfast was excellent.
