Iberostar Waves Cala Domingos All Inclusive

We had a fantastic stay. We are unsure at first because it is a family friendly resort and having to deal with noisy kids. The resort is very spacious and the bungalows allow privacy and a quiet stay. The resort has amazing service and friendly staff. Food is also great with quality ingredients and daily variations. Nice to sample Spanish cuisine and there is also nightly themes to offer more food choices. Bar offerings is great with both local and international brands. Another good thing is the resort’s sustainability credentials. The resort offers good value for money for both couples and families.

We had a wonderful experience at this beautiful hotel! The variety of food and drinks was truly impressive – there was always something new and delicious to try. The range of fun and sport activities kept us entertained throughout our stay. Amazing stuff, Pedro is the best

Outstanding, from check in to check out, we will without doubt be back! The food was incredible, drinks delicious, the beach was breathtaking with the clearest blue sea you could imagine. All of the staff were exceptional and our room, 51 was perfect!

I have rated this resort mainly 4 stars as it is a very good resort, however I would not revisit and I will explain my reasonings. The resort is spread out. I knew this on booking but did not think it would be as spread out as it was. It didn’t have a hotel vibe to it, hence why I am calling it a resort rather than a hotel. They do have golf buggy’s to transport you around, however if you have a pram with a sleeping child in then they only have one buggy that will transport an open pram, and this only accommodates 2 prams so if you’re the third you will have to wait for this to back up and come back down the hill. You can walk which we did, however pushing the pram up a hill in 35 degree weather is sweaty business! We ended up not going to the beach on our trip due to the logistics. I had a wander onto the beach alone and felt the photos make it look a lot nicer than what it was. There was graffiti on the walls, empty lager cans about and fag buts everywhere. Not the resorts fault as this is not a private beach, but good to know if you’re booking this hotel for the beach and have young children. The ‘mini disco’ is a disco put on at 5:30pm in the kids pool. This is my fault for not researching the resort properly, I was so gutted on the first day when I realised that that was the mini disco and there was nothing else like that later on at the stage area. The entertainment later in the evening is good, however the quiz usually started at 9pm and then the entertainment 9:30/9:45pm which was too late for our children so we always missed this. I feel like they definitely could have offered a proper mini disco at 8/8:30pm for the younger children as there were so many of them, many of which were going back to the rooms at the same time as us and missing the entertainment. If you are booking a superior bungalow room, please know that these rooms are small. You will probably be ok if you’re travelling as a couple with one small child, but anymore than 3 in those rooms and it would be incredibly crammed. I had already paid to upgrade to a central location, but then had to pay extra for a bigger room as there was no way of us fitting into a bungalow room. We upgraded to a family bungalow and this was much better, but not as close as the original smaller room. It had two rooms and a bathroom so we could actually breathe without busting at the seams. The bathroom is kind of open plan, there’s no privacy. So if you’re hoping to finally go to the toilet or shower in peace without the kids following then no such luck. It is also quite a walk from your bungalow to the main pool/kids pool and restaurant, even if you’re at the top of the hill. We had a 3 month old baby with us who needed a blast in the air con frequently throughout the day so wasn’t ideal for us. The pool area has incredibly slippery flooring. We had seen a review regarding this before we left and made sure that our toddler had very good gripped pool socks. I saw multiple children slip ever

We stay in the hotel for a week and it was amazing. service plače location… please a big huf to the chef!!! its the best ever

Absolutely THE BEST holiday we have been on! Our kids are 10, 8 and 5, and they had the most wonderful time! The resort is spread out which feels calmer and more private; easy to hop on the golf buggies which circle the resort constantly and take you wherever you need to go. The top pool by the Reception is more “kiddy” and louder; the one nearer the sea is calmer and a large, deeper pool where the boys enjoyed practicing diving! The food is incredible; so much choice and gorgeous BBQ fish and meat, plenty of salads and the kids loved the chocolate fountain! Two restaurants - the one near the beach needs to be booked and has lovely views. Entertainment at the bar each night is high class - all our kids thoroughly enjoyed the shows. We didn’t use the kids club but the boys and my husband enjoyed a game of beach volleyball they’d set up. Crazy golf super fun. Only disappointment was the beach - the sea was pretty wavy and I imagined it to be a calm cove, but it really didn’t matter too much. Every single member of the team were sensational - so helpful, friendly, accommodating! We want to go back already!!! You won’t regret booking a holiday here!
