FlipFlop Cala Romántica

Smelling really bad. We have complained for the smell and they told us is because of the mold and they said that we have to pay 20 euros for deposit to use the A/C remote and it will get better. Pictures are deceiving. Dangerous to stay. Not clean. A lot of mosquitos inside room. Not even close to a three star hotel.

Beautiful setting on a lovely beach we really enjoyed our stay The staff were friendly and food was good Our accommodation was dated but clean we had 3 rooms in what the girls called a tree house we had asked to be situated together and we were We were half way up the hill which was manageable but some would struggle if further up but a car from reception would take you back and forth if needed The pool area was clean and bar and snack bar were next to the pool the pool opened at 10 am which stopped people reserving sun beds brilliant idea ! and the lifeguards stopped people eating round the pool which was good as stopped mess and insects The entertainment team worked hard and a variety of things to do We had a great time and would definitely return Thank you all at the Flipflop Romántica

Just returned from the hotel after spending a few days out here. Overall, we were really impressed with the hotel and what it offers. The hotel is right on the beach and has restaurants, a bar and a place you can book boat trips. The hotel itself has a shop, a main restaurant and snack area next to the pools so everything you need is there. If you wanted to get out and explore, a bus stop is nearby to explore Porto cristo or anywhere else you'd like to go if you have time. The food was great with a variety each day. They do have some signs next to the food for allergies/intolerances but not on all so be wary and check with staff if you have any. It meant for me I couldn't really have any sweet treats as they all had milk in. They have activities around the pool and opposite the pool area (other side of road) we saw some tortoises! So look out for them. The only thing that we were disappointed in was our room. It was quite small and my bed was very hard, I think it was actually broken. The bathroom was a good size but we found lots of insects when we entered our room so make sure your room is fully cleaned. There isn't a fridge in the room we had, and I'd recommended taking an hairdryer as the one there wasn't good. Some of the other rooms did look really nice so I felt we got a little unlucky with our room. The staff are all very friendly, with the exception of one female receptionist who was quite rude and not very helpful. She failed to inform us, even when we asked, that you need to book a time slot for another room to use for showers if you check out of your hotel room but your transfer isn't until the afternoon/evening. So make sure you do that so you have a chance to freshen up before you leave. Ruben at reception was very helpful and patient with everyone and their queries. I'd definitely return though to this hotel and location and we had lovely weather.
