Love this place but the after hours check in is horrible. I never get the passcode to the door in the email. Its the second time this has happened. You have to come up with a better way of getting folks that information.

Convict Lake Resort I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Convict Lake Resort. The lake, just a 5-minute walk from the cabin, is stunning, and the cabin itself was well-thought-out, clean, charming, and perfectly fitting for the setting. While the resort's ambiance and accommodations were excellent, the communication and customer service during check-in left much to be desired. When things are running smoothly, communication is fine, but when issues arise, the staff's response seems less than helpful. For example, upon arrival, I was told by a staff member that check-in would be between 2:00 and 2:30. When I returned at that time, I was informed that the room was not ready due to cleaning delays. Rather than providing any proactive solutions or updates, the staff simply told me to "come back later" with no additional assistance or accommodation offered. I returned again at 3:00 only to receive the same response. When I asked if there was anything they could offer while I waited, they just stared at their phones and gave no real answers. While the cabin's cleanliness and the site's natural beauty are highlights, the lack of customer service during the check-in process is worth noting. A little more attentiveness and proactive communication from the staff would go a long way in enhancing the overall experience.
