The property is within the golf field and facility of Pont-Royal in a great location with all the needed services. The room is fully equipped (except for the hair dryer which is however available upon request). The two pools are well maintained and accessible. Only thing is that the pool closes 14 minutes before the scheduled time.

Lovely resort in a delightful setting with beautiful pool areas. There are water slides and one of the pools has a powerful wave machine. My son and his family were staying in the next block along from us and their children, aged 4 to 7, absolutely loved the pools. My partner and I stayed 9 nights in a self-catering apartment that could accommodate 5/6 people in one double bedroom, a small alcove-type room with bunk beds and convertible settees in the lounge area. We had to book a larger apartment because that was the only available type that could accommodate my partner's accessibility needs. It was very hot when we were there and the apartment had no air-conditioning, but three large fans were provided. The lounge area also comprised an area with dining table and chairs and a 'kitchen corner' with full size fridge freezer and dishwasher, combi microwave oven, kettle etc, as well as plenty of cutlery and crockery and reasonable cupboard space. Patio doors from the kitchen opened on to a covered veranda with garden-style table and chairs, and this in turn led to a large communal balcony shared by the adjacent apartments and overlooking a valley with stunning views of the Luberon mountains as a backdrop. Some furnishings were a bit tired and would benefit from renovation and/or tidying up. Various meal packages were available but were expensive and not flexible. Better accessibility to the pool areas and refuse bins would have been appreciated since my partner uses an electric wheelchair and I am less mobile than I was. We weren't told in advance that we would need new wristbands to access the pools after seven days. Similarly with the Wi-Fi, although the ticket we were given did explain it was for 7 days access. When it expired at 11pm on the 7th night I telephoned reception and the person I spoke with was less than helpful. I had the utmost difficulty in conveying what the problem was and even which resort we were staying at! She eventually hung up after telling me I would have to visit Reception the following morning. When I did I was immediately given a new ticket with the updated codes. Apart from the above, all the staff were very helpful and friendly, and the Wi-Fi itself was quite adequate for our needs. The centre of the village is attractively built in Provencal style and offers an epicerie, boulangerie and tourist information office as well as the main reception and various bars and eateries. A number of activities and children's clubs are available, but we did not use any of these. The site is situated on a hill and steep (for us) slopes had to be negotiated to access the village centre, which we did struggle with in the heat. That having been said, most areas were reasonably wheelchair accessible. Overall, a beautiful site in a glorious location, particularly suitable for families with no mobility issues.

Good news: the property and surrounding setting is beautiful. Your accommodation is a small apartment rather than a hotel room. The bedroom is separate. If, like us, you wanted to visit several spots in western Provence without changing rooms, this did serve us well. But be aware that everyplace from Aix-en-Provence to Avignon is 30 to 50 km away. I am a golfer, but did not try to use the course. But it looked beautiful as we drove in. Finally, the price was really reasonable. Bad news: if you are not French speaking, it is hard to find your way around the property, and the staff did not provide very much information to help. By the way, the parking “village” is actually an 8 story garage. This was not explained to us at time of check-in. Property is not air-conditioned. We visited from 8 September through 15 September, so we needed to keep bedroom window and sliding door in living room open in order to stay cool. The problem is that neighbors in other apartments, some of which are owned, seemed to enjoy having up to 10 people sitting on their patios until at least 3 a.m. talking loudly with no concern for neighbors, making it difficult for us to sleep. We tried to get help for this problem but were not able to get any response from the facility. We were given a number to call security (English speaking) but only got a French recording and a hang-up. On the final night of our visit our wifi would not work. I had to go to reception for new codes. By the way, the free wifi

We stayed for one week early September, our first family vacation with our 16 month old. First of all, the staff is lovely, always ready to give a helping hand. We were lucky and got upgraded from a flat to a house with a terrace. We had booked the baby pack and the stroller (quite old and rusty but perfectly find to drive baby around in the resort), folding bed and high chair were waiting for us at the house. However, we would have appreciated a changing mat as we had to make do with towels on one of the beds. The pools were beautiful, clean and safe (always 2-3 lifeguards monitoring), with a toddler area that our son loved. Special mention to the mini-farm that our son absolutely LOVED, thanks to the lovely Caroline, whose love for her animal transpires, who is very kind, very knowledgeable, and who shares the animal's back stories with the visitors. Our son also stayed at the baby club during for one day and the staff was lovely as well, making sure he had plenty to do and play with (feeding the fish, ball pool, etc.). The restaurants and bars and shops are not very fancy (the bakery could be better, the bread at the Vival is better than the bakery's - and as a French-native, I know my baguette!) but they offer a lovely view for an early evening/late afternoon drink. Thanks for everything, we will come back! Eve, Alex and Noah

We arrived at Pierre Vaccances village club Pont Royal au provenance on Thursday 14th July. We were shown on the map how to get to our room and were then advised there was no air conditioning but we were given a ‘fan’. When we arrived in our room we were horrified that we were put on the third floor with two 2yr old twins! We asked to be moved immediately as our twins are too little to understand not to climb and falling from 3 flights high, is not a risk we were prepared to take even if Pierre Vaccances were! We were advised by a receptionist to come back in the morning to talk and see if another room was available. We went back on Friday morning and we were advised that there would not be another room available until Saturday morning. We said we would like to take that room but could we have another fan as it is so hot. We were given another fan but it is useless. I made it very clear on the booking that there are 5 children and two adults and 2 or 3 fans in the 21st century is quite frankly a disgrace! Why on earth were we not advised In the booking that the accomodation does not have air conditioning? The room is absolutely boiling and there is no relief from the heat. I could not open the windows and doors due to the safety of our twins and our other children are starting to feel sick and unwell due to the heat! I am somewhat shocked that this was not thought orning arrived and so did the new room on the ground floor. However, the heat was still intensifying and are children were starting to become very sick. In the description one of the rooms are listed as an ‘alcove’ with a bunk bed. An ‘alcove’ suggests that it is part of a bigger room, this is horrifyingly not the case. It is a room with a door and a 1ft by 1ft window that opens in wards. There is room for 1 fan and that’s is it!! Our older boys were in this room and temperatures were reaching well over 100 oC with no relief whatsoever from the heat. A severe lack of ventilation and extreme heat which made them incredibly sick! Our two Yr old twins were born premature and one of them was born with a genetic condition which means that being in extreme heat can cause significant harm. We were given a ground floor room on Saturday afternoon which is marginally better however, the garden is not enclosed still causing some concern for our little twins. On the third day, I checked my bank account only to find I have been double charged the deposit by the hotel. The first payment was made by my husband using my card and the second was automatically taken by the village and without my consent! How is that allowed to happen? I spoke to the reception about this and was advised that it could not have been an error on their part because it is listed as ‘Gasoline’. The amount taken was the exact amount taken by Pierre Vaccances and at the same time. We have not been anywhere else for this to be taken by anyone else. Furthermore, your Wi-Fi does not work! I have spent an inordinate amoun

We stayed a total of 4 nights - 2 nights each over 2 consecutive weeks during our driving holiday in Provence. The resort was lovely and expansive. The kids enjoyed the pool facilities and water slides. There were beautiful views all around and lavender was in bloom. I experienced a minor hiccup on the 2nd day - i tripped over a chain link barrier whilst jogging and smashed my face. There was a very helpful male staff member who speaks English (sorry, i didn't get your name - he said he has worked for 7 years in ko samui) he tried hard to get me an appointment to see a dentist (my tooth was dislodged) but to no avail. They only see by appointments! Nonetheless, the problem was resolved via teleconsult with Singapore and i wish to thank this staff for his help. Suggestions - perhaps the chain barriers can be painted white to make it more visible. While the apartments are spacious, perhaps a little more amenities could be provided to make the stay more comfortable - salt and pepper at the kitchen, more soap and shampoo (only 1 pc was provided), some tea/coffee sachets etc. In the end, upon check out, we left our unused condiments (salt, olive oil) behind for the benefit of the next guest.

With a few tweeks, this would be an amazing location. Our unit was not cleaned when we arrived. The we found dried pasta under the kitchen table. The toilet was not thoroughly cleaned. Our child got a skin rash all over from taking a bath. The unit smelled like toilet sewage. The on-site restaurant, Cafe Des Arts, did not take walk-ins. The Italian restaurant did and the staff there were friendly. The views were nice. The pool was closed, even though we were told it would be open. This was during the fall school break.

It appears that no investment has been made to the exteriors of the properties for some time - it looked like a semi-abandoned village and felt quite grotty. Walls are stained, shutters are missing, front door of apartment was filthy. Inside was at least clean but very basic despite paying for a superior upgrade. Even the on-site Boulangerie was full of empty boxes and empty freezers and looked pretty grim and the bread was the worst we’ve ever bought in France. Kids enjoyed the water slides but that was not enough to keep us there. We left early feeling very disappointed. Only good thing was the golf but you don’t need to stay in the village to play there.
