Not the type to do go out my way and write review but the stay was poor, air conditioning didn’t work and hotel didn’t even compensate or allow us to move room. This meant we couldn’t sleep + the stay completely depends on what side of the hotel you are given, pure luck! The side we stayed on was unfortunately the bad side to which needs a lot of work, feels very outdated but the room overall wasn’t too bad.

The room was okay, but the shower was awful. The people were very nice to everyone, drinks were good. But the food.... all we ate for one week was french fries, tzatsiki, cucumber, tomatoes. There was not much to pick, basically the same lunch/dinner every single day, the breakfast was okay, pool was awesome. However, we were not prepared to pay a deposit of £70 when we arrived (basically £10 per night, as we were there 7 nights) The pictures were very different from the actual experience, we thought that we would get a much better experience, more pools for instance, but no. Priceworthy? No, but the whole experience was good.

The hotel was very clean, the food was amazing, good selection of drinks! the staff were always friendly and helpful and answered all our questions you can tell they really love this job! The hotel is central to lots of amazing restaurants and is not too close to the pubs so you are not disturbed by the music would 100% stay here again!

A fabulous place to stay. Excellent facilities, great choice of food and the service was impeccable. The bed was super comfy. We stayed in a Junior suite which was beautifully clean and had a daily clean with fresh water and towels. I had a beautiful birthday and we also celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary. Nothing was too much trouble. The staff were amazing and we're above and beyond expectations. A fantastic holiday!

As we walked into to the room we had no air conditioning was broken so the room was too hot and the food was shocking/terrible and my family was sick and pool side was not the best we were out for our whole stay in crete and we will not return to solimar ruby it was a let down and we had a fan in our room to cool it down but all it did was blow dust and the stairs in front of our room was blocked off full with rubbish and the bathroom was 1980s and the shower head was shocking and it is not a four star hotel it’s should be one star hotel we was out 9:00am to 21:30 and longer we did not have a good stay in Crete and we will not be back in solimar ruby. Asked for a latte and were told we couldn’t because we had a silver wristband, we weren’t asking for premium alcohol

My girlfriend and i decided to spend the holiday on Crete and booked 7 days in this Hotel with all inclusive. We got room 106, categorized as a "superior" room. The room appeared like a standard room on a 3 star hotel, and unfortunately didnt meet our expectations. The room where located just next to the road, and close to the reception, where noice from loud and drunk guests in middle of the night woke us up. I had good expectations of greek cuisine, as i have heard lots of good things, so an all inclusive stay on the island of crete in a 4 star hotel, couldnt possibly go wrong.. Yes it could. The food was terrible. The meat served was pork belly and chicken thighs, and occasionally braised caserole wintery dishes from cheap cuts of veal or beef. Pata and rice dishes vere made with leftover coldcuts from the breakfast buffet, and on the pizza topping it was easy also to identify leftovers from previus meals. Pasta sauces were greasy, splitted and tasteless, and french fries were always soggy. It was clear to see and taste that most of the ingridients used had been frozen. The drinks available was "local" beer and wine, charming as that sounds, but obviusly just the cheapest solution for the Hotel, if you wanted a Mythos beer it costed 8 euro. When we checked out, the Hotel manager asked us about our stay, we told him that we enjoyed the pool, and the staff were friendly, but then we confronted him with our disappointment of the food, he acted surprised and asked us where we were from, and we replied Denmark, the he nodded and said that Danes often complain about greek food. I cant recomend for anyone to choose the all inclusive package.

This is not a 4-star hotel this is only 3 star booked this hotel with jet2 we have never been with jet2, This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in we were asked if we wanted to upgrade for £60 each, we upgraded to gold waistband which states you have access to the pool and bar and a room by the pool you can eat in the restaurant by the pool and have some branded drinks. As far as I could see there was no restaurant by the pool just seating for you to eat from a glass cabinet full of disgusting sandwiches small bowls of salad and some desserts, as for the drinks you have only a limited choice none of the branded drinks I would have liked I asked for JD and coke bar staff said that was £8.00 eoros we were all inclusive, so asked for a cocktail note no alcohol was put in the cocktails the beer is very weak. The food in the restaurant was disgusting Luke warm food not much choice salad bar , limited choice no flavor to anything had a bad tummy for 2 days had to stay in room.very outdated room needs an upgrade. I was making the bed in the room and found the mattress was very stained and dirty I call reception very rude asked what I would like them to do about it lost it, told them to change it never seen anything so filthy they did change it just can't believe I had slept on it. I did ask to speak to the manager they told me he was not in the hotel at the moment how convenient. Didn't find the staff very helpful most of them are rude . This was my first holiday with jet2 and the last. Ended up having to eat out there are some lovely restaurants in Crete and bars .
