Beck Hall

Me and my husband stayed two nights in one of the historic rooms in the main house. Very comfortable stay, but the overriding wow factors are the friendly staff and the incredible food! So tasty and well presented, and the service is impeccable. Highly recommended.

I have just had a 2 night stay here. What a lovely little gem . the building is old and authentic with fires and pads for dogs to lie on . The staff are so friendly and helpful. I came though for the food as I have been vegan for 33 years and when I saw the first vegan hotel I thought I must go. I was not disappointed the food was delicious the Sunday roast was lovely and the cheesecake divine. To top it all this little hotel is set in a truly beautiful part of the country with spectacular scenery and walks. Thanks so much for for setting up a vegan green ethical hotel I felt truly relaxed I will definitely return

What a lovely hotel and such a treat to be able to choose anything from the menu knowing it was all plant-based. All the staff were very friendly and efficient and our room was superb. Really look forward to visiting again. It's such a beautiful setting and perfect for walking and hiking without the necessity of having to get in the car.

Outstanding venue, great location and excellent food, the meals that we ordered were cooked to perfection with very generous portion sizes, we had a lovely room with superb views (Room 9) and very helpful and pleasant staff, the snug with comfortable seating and open fire was an added bonus, we're already planning our next trip.

We loved this hotel! The location is great and with being tucked away they have made sure there is ample parking. Staff are so friendly, accommodating and the food is wonderful, it’s so nice to know that everything is plant based and that you don’t have to worry. Rooms were lovely, very comfortable bed. Feels like you are in your own little bubble when you sit by the stream.

Thank you to everyone at Beck Hall for their warm welcome and for looking after us for the 2 days we stayed there. Everything was wonderful, from the location next to the babbling brook , the room with its comfortable bed and Booja Booja truffles, to the incredible menus. What a treat to be spoilt for choice! It was great not to use the car but to know it was safe while we walked to the Cove, Gordale Scar and Janet's Foss. Witnessing the annual duck race was a fun bonus! We will definitely be back and highly recommend Beck Hall for anyone looking for a relaxing haven with excellent food.

An absolutely wonderful experience! We thoroughly enjoyed every single bit of our stay and the fabulous plant based menu. We enjoyed a beautiful room surrounded by birdlife and a spectacular view of the beck. We LOVE the plant based menu, the staff were awesome and we made a stop at Beck Hall on purpose (from Australia) as we read about your transition to plant based online and knew we had to come and support you. The best of luck with your transition, and I'm sure you will find every success and support by the wonderful network of vegans (and vegan curious) around the world. Vegan, done well. I have been a vegan wholefood chef for a very long time and find it extremely difficult to find well made vegan food in England or Australia - all the Gold stars to you guys!!! Doggo friendly and relaxed enough vibes to make the stay thoroughly enjoyable. We will be back! We had a wonderful stay with our two dogs. Our room (14) was well appointed, clean and comfortable. Food was amazing and the service great. Smashing walks from the door and a beautiful setting. Can't rate it highly enough and would recommend to everybody (whether they're vegan or not).

great to have a solely vegan hotel so you don’t have to worry about the food/drink. We were provided with oat milk in our room and a welcome Booja Booja truffles when we checked in. The restaurant food was nice and the breakfast was lovely! However, be aware they charge a cake corkage fee to bring your own cake to the restaurant of £5.90 per person!!! We were staying for my partners birthday for two nights and on his birthday night, I asked the staff if they would be kind to bring out my vegan cake with the candles but they wanted £11.80! When asked why and what for, they said to use their plates and knife to cut the cake.. I was hoping as we were hotel guests and it was my partners birthday, they would be happy to help us celebrate… Lovely restaurant but considering celebrating elsewhere if you want to take a cake.
