Where to start.. This is not a 4* hotel! The left side of the hotel is a 3* and the right is the 4* and the only thing that is different is the rooms you share the pool and the restaurant and reception… the food here is also terrible we came as a full board and have only eaten here twice throughout our whole 6 day trip! There is no English language on the food signs so you have to guess what your eating and it is mostly fish for dinner most nights so as someone who HATES fish it’s been awful , breakfast has sausages, bacon and eggs as your full English, We were the only brits here as well and there is no shop on site closest is about a 5/10 minute walk away from hotel. The spa is 15€ for 2 hours! We actually booked 2 nights in Barcelona whilst we were here as there is nothing around the hotel unless u get a 25 minute taxi to Lloret de mar which is €30 each way just to go do some activities or see people walking around, I definitely would recommend Barcelona to anyone if they do stay at this hotel as train station is 20 minute walk and train is only €5.90 each way per adult! Walls are very thin in the room and rooms are very run down and basic!

The best hotel on the Costa Brava. Very nice service at the reception, in the restaurant, in the bar and the cleaning team. We have been to this hotel for the 6th time and each time we come back like home. The hotel has large rooms with balconies, everything is very clean and fragrant. There is wonderful music playing in the background. There are 2 swimming pools to choose from, one of them for adults. The food is delicious. Made with the best ingredients. Delicious fruit. The hotel's location favors relaxation, it is close to the beach, shops and restaurants. The hotel offers great yoga classes and more. I recommend it 100% and I will always go back there.

This hotel has a range of activities to offer and caters towards relaxation. staff were so prompt and helpful. All locations of the hotel are clean and functioning. In terms of location make sure to plan your excursions ahead as Barcelona is a far distance. However the Santa Susanna station is walking distance from the hotel. The catering staff were absolutely polite and friendly, I would definitely visit again. There are plenty of nearby beaches to visit during your stay. Thankyou for my pleasant stay!

First of all I would like to highlight that the staff members at the reception and restaurant were lovely and helpful so this review is not a reflection on them. I had breakfast included in my package, which I do not regret! The buffet was delicious and special shout out to the talented chef who was behind the eggs and pancakes. He was always kind every morning despite how busy it gets. The location is amazing as you are close to the “*****” where there are plenty of restaurants to choose from, cafes and desert locations. There is a local train station that can take you directly to Barcelona for the day for €11 return per person. It’s a great way to spend the day away if you like to explore. The beach nearby are nice and quiet, however I prefer a pure sandy beach this one had small pebbles on it so it wasn’t as smooth on the skin. Now, the bedroom was spacious and the balcony had a good view of the adult pool. What I found disappointing was the first night we was told "wifi is slow" the hotel wifi did not work at all for the five days being there. Luckily I had the option to add on data but that shouldn't be the case. The fridge was terrible, it would be "on" but it does not keep anything cold. The blow drier in my room did not work either so my hair had to air dry so bare that in mind if you like swimming. The spa is expensive for what you get. The hot tub the bubbles sting your eyes, the sauna was not hot at all barely worked. I recommend you go to the spa on weekdays so you only pay €10 each instead of €20 each. I also think the spa facilities should be included in the hotel stay. The TV in the bedroom does not work either, I tried multiple times to get any channels to appear and it did not lead to anything. There was an incident there where there seemed to be a mini fire where police and fire brigades were there and we couldn't enter the hotel for a while. After it had been cleared up no one gave us an explanation of what happened or an apology for the inconvenience. Since then the fire alarm kept on going off during our stay at multiple occasions. Overall you don't have to book the 4* side there's not much of a difference in my opinion. It was an experience as I mentioned at the start nice staff but too many things were off about the room.

It is the second time we stay in Luna Club and Spa in Malgrat de Mar. We stayed in October both times, almost at the end of season. This time we purchased the all inclusive package. -the parking was not free unless the room was booked directly through the hotel website, since we booked through 3rd party we were asked for 15€per day + we found parking on the streets around the hotel, but I imagine in high season it is not easy to find and tickets are issued frequently in the area -the all inclusive drinks package is very limited, only one of each type of drinks is included(one whisky, one gin etc) and lower quality brands. No lemonades or fresh orange juice either, some types of coffee also not included, and the soft drinks were not bottled. + food is plentiful and Mediterranean style, always options for fish chicken and vegetarian dishes and most dishes were great -sometimes the food was really salty, not cooked properly, especially at lunch -desserts options this year were not great, repetitive types and not tasty overall. On the last stay in 2019 they had a chocolate fountain more assortment of fruits and better desserts -the all inclusive food options during the day are not great, some fruits, cakes and leftovers from breakfast or lunch, so if you skip lunch and want to eat from the all inclusive bar is not great +on the all inclusive package there is a free entry to the spa per person, which is great, but from Thursday to Sunday you can only go for 2h. The price was 15€ per day/2h otherwise +the spa is a must visit experience, although some features were not well kept since our last visit(the chromotherapy shower was broken, some heated chairs as well, less seating areas) +the rooms are nice and spacious, and kept clean regularly, although on our last stay we had more toiletries provided and the room was cleaned more often +the additional adult only pool is great, although be minded you have to pay a towel rental fee plus deposit and an additional fee if you want to use the Balinese beds by the pool(15€per day) +the staff is really good and kind, especially the bar staff and restaurant, many thanks to them, really good customer support and service +nice entertainment programs throughout or stay(5 out of 7 nights), although not great for youth and teens, not the party kind of vibe, which is why we chose Luna Club +relaxed and calm atmosphere everywhere, nice sitting areas, lots of sunshine Overall I recommend the stay at Luna Club for the price difference between Luna Park, but either go for room and breakfast only or for the breakfast and dinner option. I do not recommend the all inclusive as for the price difference you can buy whichever drinks you like and eat on the beach or other restaurants during the day. Also lots of add ons that were not included for all inclusive guests and you still have to pay for them. Thank you for our lovely stay!

Pool area beautiful and clean unfortunately no pool side bathroom. Had to use rest rooms beside restaurant downstairs. Rooms outdated, no fridge or coffee facilities. Bar staff policed ice cubes! One in particular very arrogant and dismissive. Food was nice and good choice although we did not eat in for all meals.

We fell in love with the look of the hotel both on Thomas Cooks site and the hotels website. A haven of calm bliss and wellbeing surrounded by several pools and relaxation areas. We particularly liked the idea of participating in some Yoga classes, and relaxing in the Spa area. So excited for our holiday (first in 3 years) we were showing everyone we knew the amazing pictures on the hotels website’s. The hotel, resort was actually situated in the middle of several residential blocks of flats, the whole area although very clean was completely covered in graffiti. We arrived and all was not what it seemed. (for another review solely for Thomas cook, we had had a nightmare since landing) Got to reception was looked a little different to the pictures, just believing I was tired from the travelling, decided to breath and take It all in our stride… The reception staff barely spoke any English which I found very strange. There are two hotels within this resort and thankfully we notice this at time of booking, the Luna Park is 3star and the Luna Club is 4star. It was actually portrayed that these were quite far apart too but actually there are basically joined and either side of the reception area. In fact the dining hall was on the lower floor of the Luna Park side, with the resorts Bar also on this side. The Club was absolutely not 4 star quality. We were pointed to where we had to find our room on the 5th floor, basically to enter the “Club” side you go through glass doors which I assume is to make it all a little posher, and a glass lift to boot. The room was basic but adequate, twin beds with double sheets, extra pillows. Plug points and side light switches either side of each bed was really good. Each room has a balcony with 2chairs and table, also a white plastic washing airer attached to the wall. We also had a small fridge which was a nice touch, I will recommend taking out the two small shelves so you can then get a few large bottles of water stood up inside. Game changer. Our room over looked a pool, of which I was very surprised at the size, we actually checked the website at this time and then it all clicked into place, amazing camera angels and marketing. This pool was in fact the adults only pool, around this small but Beautiful pool were your normal sunbed, 8 day beds and 7 4poster cabana beds. All looked very nice, until we read the signs around the pool the 4 post €59 per day!! The reception staff did come out with card machines as well… So we paid extra to stay in the Luna Club but the Luna Park holiday makers could also use this adults only pool, why did we pay for the more expensive side if you can in fact use the pools on the Club side. We decided half board was a suitable option for us, expecting to be able to get a bar snack around lunch time… errr no, the bar only sold ready salted Lays!! So we had to walk into town for any snacks for lunch time. Breakfast and dinner were really good, plenty of options for all, everything

Stayed for one night, the best hotel! If you have a Chance definitely stay here. The rooms are spacious and clean. The decor is beautiful, let alone the pool! We got breakfast and let me say they have everything you can think of. There’s an adults only pool which our balcony overlooked. Amazing views! However, this pool did smell like sewage. So we spent our time in the bigger pool, which was quieter and way more spacious! Be prepared the wait reception, long lines. But we didn’t mind as the views were amazing to look at! Ps we stayed at the 4 star part of this hotel. Thank you for the best stay!!!
