Good service, good location

Our room had a great ocean view and it was such a relief to open the balcony doors every morning. The overall facilities of the hotel really need to be updated and improved, the service staff is very friendly, and the food is basically okay. The sound of music will be around 11.30 every night, which is not very friendly for those who are used to going to bed early. For what I paid for the room, I couldn't ask for more. Overall satisfied.

Awful food. Needs review of mealtime system as last sitting food inedible and not much choice. Who wants to eat so late in the evening. Staff taking away items left on tables when going to fetch other items in the restaurant. Broken coffee machine so none available all day in bar area, and often not working in restaurant. 30euros for safe plus a 10euro deposit bit expensive and old fashioned key safe so you had to keep key with you. Fridge hardly cold at all. Curtain rotten and ripped when tried to close it. Rickety shutters and windows. No balcony table. Shower in middle of bath, very awkward to use. Hand basin blocked and reported but no one came to fix. Only 1 comfy seating area and seating dirty and old. Music around pool too loud and repetitive. Good things - location, garden and pool area.

My boyfriend and I just got home last night and had the most amazing time at the hotel! When we arrived we were given a wrist band to show we were all inclusive, had all the information given to us from the receptionist who were amazing, and friendly. Food the whole 10 days was amazing, room was clean and got cleaned everyday we requested, could get clean towels when we wanted. every night the main meal part was different but repeated chips, pasta and salad. one thing was the sound but we asked reception to let the room above us know they were being loud n and when they did it stopped the rest of the time we were there. the bar staff were my favourite! made us laugh every night, even one of them told my boyfriend they loved him and we laughed allot. the best holiday i have ever had and definitely rebooking it next year! thankyou htop hotels for an amazing holiday

THE HOTEL IS A DISATER. RECEPTION STAFF RUDE AND UNHELPFUL. OUTDATED ROOMS. SQUEAKY BEDS. SMALL BALCONY YOU CAN'T USE. SMALL COMMUNAL AREAS. REALLY SMALL POOL. YOU ARE ALLOCATED A SET TIME TO EAT. LONG QUEUES. LIMITED FOOD CHOICE. DRINKS CARD TO EXCHANGE FOR PLASTIC BEAKER. YOUR ONLY SAVING GRACE IS LOVELY LOCATION FOR TOWN AND BEACH. TWO REALLY GOOD RESURANTS TO USE ARE ANTIONA AND SANCHO PANZA. ALSO GOOD TRAIN SERVICE TO OTHER AREAS.

We went for holiday in July , first impression from outside beautiful hotel but then comes disappointment- so so dated rooms ( dark and sad looking with 1 charging socket only in room and one in bathroom) , dirty bathroom, long queues every meal time - repetitive menu . We stayed for a week and if I have to compare with hotels all round the world we been - sadly disappointing experience it was by all . Staff tried to do they best and I feel for them as really the hotel owners should be ashamed of selling this hotel to all holiday makers. Sadly felt that they didn’t care much what experience will be felt by all and it’s not cheap especially for families. Pool was great , but first come for sun beds then you have them otherwise if you up at 10am - no chance getting one . Located on beach front and lovely walking promenade that was bonus and loads bars restaurants round to enjoy. Train station 5 min away perfect to explore Barcelona- that’s so easy to use and great commute without any problem. So location wise it’s great trains run every 30 min - perfect. Blanes botanical garden one train stop away - we did day trip that was great and so easy to find .

Awful rooms - very old fashioned, dirty and dismal. Rude and obnoxious staff, food is better quality at homeless shelters. So bad I paid an extra £1000 for 5 nights at a neighbouring hotel. I'd give this place a zero rating if possible but unfortunately had to give it 1 star.

Bedrooms need updating, food is below average, restaurant not big enough for hotel size, queued every night for dinner, staff are friendly enough, pool and outside area are really nice, no umbrellas at pool side, always managed to get a sunbed, Malgrat itself was quiet, a lot of places closed, beach was pebbles not very nice

Honest review. When we arrived the hotel looks pleasant from the outside, pool a little small but never over crowded. Allocated a time slot for breakfast which I’ve never had before, breakfast isn’t great ok if you’re happy to eat eggs and bread everyday. Room is dated, dirty and very small. You couldn’t swing a cat in the bathroom, and just about enough walk space to go around the bed. Fridge you have to pay extra to use and no tea facilities in the room. Music is playing till gone midnight and rooms are single glazed windows so it feels like the music is in you room. Walls so thin you could everything word for word. Animation team are great and work hard , same as bar staff, they are all friendly. Reception staff not so much as friendly. Great location but overall wouldn’t return and definitely not a 3star.

A small beach hotel that has its flaws but it has more positives than negatives.The beach is clean and easy to get to. It is on a promenade of shops that takes you into Santa Susannah, Positives: spotlessly clean, rooms cleaned daily, even under the beds. Food is lovely and plentiful. Staff are friendly and approachable. Entertainment was fun especially the Disney show. Negatives: no parasols by the pool, so I didn’t use the area all week. Queuing for food in the evenings due to set meal times possibly could be avoided if people could choose when they eat. The food was lovely but very repetitive. We had a wonderful holiday there and would return there one hundred percent.

Very VERY basic rooms. Bathroom dark and beds not the comfiest but definitely get what you pay for.. Our toilet did leak but was sorted the next day by lovely man at reception. Lovely balcony and views! Perfect location - all inclusive is meh.

Place needs major improvements. There was no variety with the food everything was the same for every lunch and every dinner. Fizzy juice was fake & had to pay for the real stuff even though we were all inclusive. No lifeguard. No security at all gates were left unlocked everynight which was fine guests could come and go as they wanted. My issue with that was since there was no card or key given to enter the hotel there was no need for these you could just walk in which meant any stranger or someone wanting to cause harm could freely enter. Rooms were okay cleaned to satisfaction. Every room had a balcony so don’t pay extra for one. Ours was small but done fine seated two of us. “All inclusive” if you’re thinking of booking this place do NOT go all inclusive. Food is more targeted for Western European. Bland and no variety. Sometimes even inedible. Bread was rock hard most days. Don’t even get me started on the snack bar. It was open 2 hours a day with sandwiches chicken burgers and salads we had something the first day on our 7 day holiday and couldn’t go back it was horrendous: rock solid buns, ham and cheese sandwich was hard. We went back on the last day to it and it was the same items. Clearly left till eaten. Staff were friendly. Games room you had to pay euros for. Not allowed to take any drinks into restaurant even though it’s from the hotel. Weren’t allowed to take drinks up to the room even though it was a plastic cup. I truly wouldn’t recommend it wasn’t an enjoyable hotel at all. I know it’s peoples jobs and I understand that I feel bad writing this review but for most holidays are a luxury and this was expensive and I don’t want families to waste their money. This place isn’t a 3 star. 2 stars is a bit of a push. I’ll pay extra from now on to get a great hotel even though this was expensive enough.

A lovely hotel with very friendly and helpful staff! The location is perfect as it’s super close to the beach, clubs, restaurants and supermarkets. Our room had a cute little balcony with a sea view and the hotel felt very safe. The food is good and there was always lots to choose from. I will definitely be coming back here!
