I was cautious about this hotel given some of the reviews, and the area we drove through to reach it, but was reassured to see a clean, modern building. The transfer from the airport was only 15 minutes which was brilliant. We arrived at 11pm which was after the cut off for all inclusive, but food and drinks were provided for us in the restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially for that time of the night. Went to our room which was clean and modern. It was slightly smaller than I would have expected for a superior room in a 4 star hotel, but had everything we needed, a double bed, wardrobe, fridge, drawers, and a balcony with table and chairs. The room was described as side sea view so I didn't have much hope but we actually had a great view from the balcony, overlooking the pool and pool bar and a good view of the sea. This is a reasonably small hotel, compared to some. One restaurant, one pool and one bar, but I liked the friendly vibe and it was not over crowded at this time of year. Plenty of sunbeds. An indoor bar would have been nice for the rainy night we had, but I suppose not worth it for the few days its needed. The entertainment wasn't much so if you are looking for a 24 hour party hotel, go somewhere else. Most evenings was some kind of disco, although we did have an amazing fire act, and some Greek singers/dancers. Everything pretty much stops at 11 which was fine for me as I wanted my sleep. The entertainment staff were lots of fun, and Anna on the bar is a legend (although stay away from her shots). I was very impressed with the drinks selection. There was (what my partner tells me) were perfectly drinkable beer and wine, and lots of lovely cocktails. The beach is very nice and sandy, with the water not getting too deep quickly, so lots of paddling room. I saw mixed reviews of food, so wanted to give my view. People have said it is repetitive. At each dinner there were at least 4 or 5 main course options, and then often others for lunch, so of course there will be repetition. I actually found it a really good mix with there being plenty of pasta and chips for the less adventurous, but also lots of grilled meat and fish with herbs, which is what I would expect from Greek cuisine. Excellent salad bar, plenty of dessert and ice cream. On one occasion I saw the traditional Cretan snail dish but wasn't brave enough to try it. A couple of negatives on food, there wasn't enough labelling to be sure what everything was and we often had to ask (although staff were always helpful), and the food at the pool bar was pretty bad, generally some sort of left overs that were very dried out. Perhaps they could have been refreshed more regularly, but to be honest, with so much food for lunch and dinner, it wasn't really necessary. There was always ice cream :) On our final day we didn't leave till nearly 8 and asked if we could have somewhere to store our luggage, and this was no problem and we were also offered a room
