Blue Bay Resort Hotel

We have had an incredible week away at this resort , absolutely amazing and stunning place. So beautiful and it was my children's first holiday and they have loved it with lots of fantastic memories for them to. All staff were very friendly and lovely and clean hotel with the most comfortable beds and we can't wait to come back and stay again. Beautiful place very impressed thanks again

We (2x male 23yr olds) stayed at Blue Bay for 5 nights from 9th-14th Oct. We had a really nice experience at the hotel and have left feeling relaxed and satisfied. Pros: - from the moment we arrived at 11pm there's always been plenty of staff around to ask for anything if we've needed. - the foods been good and easily available (restaurant available at certain times and snacks bar as well) - also a good variety of food at lunches/dinners (breakfast was quite similar each day but plenty of options) - obviously we've come near the end of the season but always seats available around the pool, bars, restaurant - hotel always clean inside and out - table tennis, darts, swimming pools, daily activity staff for the pools (aqua gym, water volleyball) was good - beach in walking distance (also hotel does it's own shuttle transfers throughout the day) Cons: - breakfast stopped serving at 10am so we missed it one occasion to stay in bed a little longer - bars had a wide range of spirits but only ouzo/raki available with all-inclusive - also only one type of beer and one type of each wine variety available (red, white, ect) - by mid afternoon the sun was only left on the seats by pool bar and no longer over sun loungers (probably different coming earlier in the summer and the sun being higher for longer but just due to location of hotel on hill) All in all the hotel was really nice and can't imagine you'd get much better at this price range. Still a really good experience coming later in the season, also got lucky with the weather with 25-29° whilst being here.

We had a great time. Food was really good. Views were amazing from the hotel. There wasn’t a huge amount to do with kids but we went in October so it wasn’t prime season. Wasn't too busy which was nice. We had the room with the whirlpool and it was great to have! Would recommend!

Our favourite holiday yet!! My partner and I came to blue bay resort in October and it was even better than we expected. The staff were amazing, especially the ladies at the reception. We had a lot of questions and they answered them all without hesitation. Rooms were lovely, cleaning staff were brilliant too. Our room was cleaned daily. Rooms have lots of storage, a mini fridge and a safe. The food was brilliant, we went all inclusive so we ate at the buffet for every meal. A massive range of food suitable for everyone, and they changed it most nights which was nice as we had a lot of variety. Fresh fruit and veg too which is always a plus!! The hotel is in quite a remote area, but we got a taxi into the local village for the day for 10€ and had a lovely time, there is also a bus that runs from the hotel to Heraklion every day if you want to explore the city, I think it’s priced at €5 each way. The beach below the hotel was lovely, clear waters and lots of water activities available such as pedalos, jet skis, boat hire and paddle boarding! The locals are lovely too, everyone was so welcoming and kind. Overall we had an amazing time, no faults at all! The only thing to be aware of is the amount of stairs (but I guess that’s what you should expect when booking a hotel on the side of a cliff!) and there is a big hill down to the beach, BUT there is a shuttle bus that runs down every couple of hours!

Absolutely amazing hotel ,the staff go above and beyond to make sure you have a wonderful stay. The food in the restaurant was absolutely gorgeous and not repetitive at all . congratulations goes out the head chef and his colleagues. Also in the dining room there is free flowing wine beer water and soft drinks for you to help yourself. Maria in the main pool bar was brilliant she never stopped working from 10am to 6pm. Some people moaned about the selection of drinks on offer as it was soft drinks,ouzo cocktails or raki cocktails and lager. But while in Greece do as the greek do. If you wanted vodka ,rum , whiskey etc you could pay extra or simply by a bottle from a shop and add your mixer for free. The entertainment was low key but all good and was in an ampitheater every night at 9.30. for an hour . Yes it is located at he top of a steep hill but there is a hotel shuttle service every day down to the small beach and returns at set times . The beach as I have said is small and gravely but if you wear swim shoes it's ok,and the is a couple of shops and 3 bars restaurants there if you spend a day there. All in all the blue bay at Agia Pelagia is one of the best hotels you could wish for a definitely a 5 Star from me and my fiancé.

The staff at the blue bay resort are polite and attentive, they really provide a friendly atmosphere. Checkin Process was smooth and efficient, our cases taken to our room and we were driven down to the room. We were situated in the annexe 5km from the main pool, a short walk from the main reception with beautiful surroundings. The Room was perfect for what we used. The view from the balcony was spectacular. The pool area is fab, never a problem getting a sun-bed. Entertainment around the pool is enjoyable, not too loud and sunbeds situated away from the main activities. Pool bar drinks and snacks are delicious. Both annexe buildings have pools situated in the area also. We spent our time by the main pool as more entertainment however the annexe pools do provide a tranquil space should you wish for peace and quiet. Main restaurant is immaculately clean and staff attentive. I am a fussy eater abroad however I never struggled to eat breakfast, lunch & dinner. The team also provided dairy free milk for myself- something I am most thankful for. The drinks are local to the island but worth trying the variety to get to know your fave! The entertainment programme was spot on! Our favourite part of the nights were getting drinks and taking our seats at the theatre to watch the nightly entertainment. An array of shows scheduled and all very unique and enjoyable. The beach is the hidden gem for this hotel. A real sun trap! €10 for our sunbeds, 3 shops and 3 restaurants, we thoroughly enjoyed our days here and the shuttle to and from the hotel is a god send! Our time at bluebay provided us with life long memories and we will be sure to return.
