We recently stayed at the Metropole and had a wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment wr arrived. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The location was great, close to everything we wanted to see and do. The breakfast buffet was great with plenty of choices. I highly recommend staying here for a comfortable and enjoyable stay while in Greece. There are a maze of options but you will do yourself a favour by staying here.

Great hotel, great location, would highly recommend to anyone staying in Heraklion. We loved the convenience of the hotel being so centrally located and were able to use a base throughout our day travelling around the lively city of Heraklion

We loved staying here for 4 nights. The location is on a lovely square that has a neighborhood feel. It was close to the busy part of town, just a few minutes walk, but it was quiet and peaceful. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the square and it was very comfortable. The breakfast is served in the cafe next door and the food was good and the staff exceptionally friendly. The hotel staff was super and helped us with getting taxis and accepting a delivery for us. Maria was especially helpful. We would highly recommend staying here if you come to Iraklion.

We spent a couple of nights in the Metropole Urban Hotel in Heraklion, Crete. The room and bathroom were clean, very nice and comfortable. The front desk was very amiable and helpful. The hotel is located at an excellent location in Heraklion, within walking distance of the city center and most attractions. Our great disappointment was Breakfast. It was served in and by an adjacent coffee house, and was both meager, cold and unappetizing. The hotel does not serve other meals although there are a multitude of restaurants and fast food locations nearby.

The hotel is fine but right next to a building site that starts drilling and hammering at 7:30 every morning. I wouldn’t come now if you want a lie in or a siesta in the day, It’s also right next to the church and bells ring every hound and half hour up to midnight and again from 7. Closing the windows doesn’t help.

A pleasant hotel very centrally located to all the main attractions in Heraklion. The hotel seems to have been recently renovated and it is very clean and comfortable for a short stay. The staff a helpful and friendly. Probably not four star in the Australian sense but suits its purpose.

After a LONG day of travelling in from Canada we were super happy to check into this location for a four night stay in Heraklion. Our room was not huge, by any stretch of the imagination, but big enough to accommodate a king size bed and a decent size bathroom - no bath, but a super walk-in shower. The hotel was quiet, super friendly and offered a decent buffet breakfast outside on a picturesque courtyard. Location is perfect with everything in walking distance - you'll need to get a taxi to the ferry from there, but they will book it and the cost is ~18 euro. We loved the area and spent many hours in the local cafes - so much so we were recognized and welcomed with open arms.. very warm people!! Yes, would stay here again..
