This is a great boutique hotel! Great stay and excellent value for money! The continental breakfast was fresh and a large variety. The lunch and dinner options were also really good, fresh and nicely presented. The main dining area was newly refurbished and was light and airy. The drinks and cocktails were also really good with homemade syrups and teas. Staff are friendly overall. Great location to the beach, less than 5 minute walk round the corner and Ammoudara Beach is sandy not rocky like some of the others along the east of the island. The local taverna and beach side cafes are clean and also good value for money. The hotel is close to the main city, 20mins by bus and there is a bus stop outside the hotel as well as a little supermarket to buy water and snacks. We bought all our water from there as it was much cheaper than buying through hotel. The hotel was clean and whilst some of the rooms have been modernised we had an old room, not really an issue as the beds were still comfortable and clean but this is not clear from the website or at time of booking. It is also a quiet location despite being on a main road, you cannot hear it from your room. The negatives we had are room for improvement and not reasons to not stay. The safe in our room was broken so we had to lock our valuables in a suitcase. Not the end of the world but would be nice if fixed. You are charged to use the cabana beds 20euros after pool hours (pool hours are 9am-7pm where cabana use is free) but after 7pm you are done sunbathing for the day and likely heading out. Seems cheeky considering you are already a paying guest. They also said the reason for this was that people did not respect or care for the furniture which is why they imposed the cost...again think this is a bit steep and unfair for a paying guest. The regular sunbeds are all fine and clean and free to use so we stuck to those. States it is adult only but on two different days there was a toddler there which was a bit disappointing. Semi open pool to the locals which we did not know about. Although not an issue it does create a crowded pool area and less availability on sun beds. Staff tended to ask locals for pool side service rather than guests, we were only approached once during our stay otherwise we went to the bar ourselves. Photos are deceptive, it is a small hotel with limited number of seats. They do prioritise locals over tourists. The negative of it being on a main road is that the hotel is completely open. You can walk through the car park round the back and you are at the pool, anyone can walk through, would be nice to have a little extra security however we did not experience any issues from this and felt safe throughout our stay. Lastly, it is next to a construction site and is semi visible. Again this was not an issue for us as there were no works or noise and we weren't too bothered about the outside view. Hotel does not mention this at time of booking so would check if you decide to bo

The hotel was new renovation and actually is very beautiful. We stayed for two days we didn’t have hot water at all and when we said it to the owner he didn’t believe us and he treated us rudely make us feel like liars. We found hairs in the bed in the fridge it was a half empty water bottle and in the shower even if we didn’t use it …. The small shampoos it was half used…… the breakfast it was basic nothing special but the worst think was the attitude of the owner…. Well I don’t recommend it even if it is beautiful if you are seeking for quality holidays or business..

Me and my fiancé we live i two different countries and we spent around 25% of the year together. So we really value our time together highly. We have four kids between the two of us and our lives are busy so we were looking forward to a getaway holiday for just the two of us in Crete. We chose this hotel because it was for adults only, because it looked so nice on the pictures, because it was close to the beach and culture and had a bar and a swimming pool. We hoped to get to relax and have a good time. We travelled longer to Heraklion specifically to get to this hotel, the trip to Chania would have been easier for us, but we really wanted to try this hotel. We were not disappointed, in fact this turned out to be one of the best travelling experiences we have had in our lifetimes. The Hotel is more beautiful than the images even. The family and staff so welcoming and helpful and some we now consider our dear friends. The swimming pool and sunbathing area is great. The food and drinks amazing. I love the animal life around the area and all the beautiful plants. We enjoyed getting to know downtown Heraklion and visiting the beach. We stayed a lot at the hotel itself too because we felt so good there and had a lot of fund and relaxing. We stayed one week and we thought that was a perfect amount of time for us for this holiday. I had seen some reviews complaining about a smell from the drains but actually that is something that is simply present in the whole of Heraklion and hardly anything the Hotel itself can improve further. I myself have experience of this problem in Iceland even in the latest state of art sewage designs in lower temperatures, close to the sea, in certain wind circumstances such a thing is hard to avoid. This was not a problem for us because there is a large window in the bathroom with an insect net. One can close the door to the bathroom and the airconditioning system is good and very powerful. One can also just run a bit of water down the drain and that really helps if any smell comes up. Everything was really elegant looking and well maintained. We had a lot of fun, relaxing time and we liked the routines and disciplined structure at the hotel so we always knew when was time for breakfast, for coffee, drinks or music. Thank you so much for this experience. We can recommend it to anyone, in fact, I think some of our family and friends are already thinking about visiting the Hotel too! Shady and Greta

We stayed for 4 days everything including the room with pool view (direct access) was amazing except for the dirty phone in the room( a bit of dust on it) which i didnt care about and the slow service at the bar/restaurant other than that the hotel is amazing, the tv connects to your phone that was lovely, looks like 5 star hotel, full of greenery palms green plants (and 3-4 insects in the pool too bees and other insects flying around) but I understand this is normal as it has this tropical landscape and plants. Very good ( breakfast was amazing, variety was great) but the the hotel staff needs to be quicker!

We stayed here in June 22 and fund it to be a nice family run hotel with nice staff. There are 24 rooms and they are of different costs and conditions, so not all rooms look like the best one you see, but the rooms are clean and well looked after, you see what room you are buying when you book it. Yes the pool area is open to the public, but they reserve places for hotel guests and it makes it lively, not too busy though, there were always sunbeds and booths and late at night it wasn't that busy at all. The pool music can be a little loud if you are trying to listen to your own music or podcasts, but when you close your balcony doors, you don't really hear it. free towels and water around the pool and its 3 mins from the beach which is along stretch and has beach clubs 20 mins away at a nicer part of the beach. there's a bus stop 2 mins away and you buy the 1.10 euro ticket at the shop opposite and its 20 mins into the town centre. If you walk 30-40 mins the other way you pass loads of places to shop eat and drink. The air con was fine, the noise was fine, the bathroom was small, but they are not all like that. The breakfast was good, but the lack of space prevents them having more food out, but all in all a good hotel and really nice staff. We were the only English people staying there, which some may see as a plus!

The worst experience i've ever had in an hotel. The room was not even close to the one shown at the website, we ask to change the room, and next day the owner, the most rude guy i ever see, asked us to go out, not he, because he dont speak a word of English. He ask to the employe to tell us to leave. The only good thing the hotel have ia that employe, very nice and friendly. The room was só bad...., and the owner have no adjective to be described.
