Ambienthotel PrimaLuna 3S

What a stunning property on the bank of Malcesine, a beautiful town on Lake Garda. We stayed in a family suite on the ground floor which was perfect for a family of 4 and close to the restaurant and pool area. The service and staff only elevates the hotel with notable shout outs for Alex, Giordi and Ciocomo all of whom couldn’t have been friendlier and went out of their way to make our stay special, which is credit to the incredible owners. We had a lovely breakfast with omelettes or crepes cooked on demand, and the food on both evenings we were there was nothing short of amazing - the family favourite was the slow cooked beef cheeks - just wow! But even that was overshadowed by the view of the lake as we ate which was just stunning and we were lucky enough to sit in the window to enjoy those views for all our meals. On top of this the hotel caters so well for kids, with their own check in area, an honesty fridge freezer for ice creams and drinks (great value), but also table tennis, futzball and pool table, plus we took our electric bikes through the hotel and a paddle board from the nearby beach rental place. Even in the height of the summer in August, sunbeds were easy to get and we never had to wait to use any of the facilities. This hotel is a true gem in the midst of Lake Garda and we did not want to leave - thank you so much for such a lovely stay!

The hotel has top location. The staff is very nice and helpfull. Everything was great. We will visit again.

This hotel is located well, right up against the lake near the castle and restaurant. The staff was very welcoming and helpful to our large group of 10 (6 adults and 4 toddlers/children). The hotel had a little entertainment screen for kids in the lobby, understanding when our children were high energy and laughed and scampered about in the common lobby area (we did not let them misbehave or disrupt others but children can sometimes be loud) were understanding of our requests for warm milk and accommodating when we lingered over breakfast. They welcomed us to spend time in the lobby/common area after the children went to sleep and in all interactions were warm, helpful, very kind demeanor, and professional. Price was reasonable for location and bed was comfortable with completely blacked out windows for deep sleep. Breakfast buffet was fantastic with fresh fruit, egg dishes, crepes, fresh juices. Experiences like these remind me why I love traveling to Italy as someone who love culture and traveling but have to balance the needs of a small child. The staff really was outstanding and we had a relaxing and enjoyable time.

This is a wonderful hotel. Staff very helpful. There is a common area on the grass for lounging. Breakfast is wonderful. So fun to watch the windsurfers while eating. Dinner was also excellent in the restaurant. 15 minute walk to town. The only downside was the room color. It was red and made the room dark.

Very unique hotel using any available space in it’s design. Excellent breakfast, friendly staff and centrally located within walking distance to everything. Very highly recommended.

This was the second time we have stayed at PrimaLuna in Malcesine and our stay was fantastic. In 2023 four of us stayed in one room for three nights and in June of 2024 ten of us stayed in four rooms for four nights. In 2024 we were three generations celebrating a big anniversary. Claudia and Antonio and every person at PrimaLuna was helpful, thoughtful and went beyond expectations. Weeks before our recent arrival we made reservations at the excellent restaurant, Rossovivo, at the hotel and told them it was a special occasion. The dinner for 10 included unexpected, unique touches that made it a lifetime memory. The soft, people aspects of our stays have been outstanding. And the more tangible elements make our stays pleasant and convenient: The hotel is steps from Lago di Garda which means beautiful views and easy access to just about any water sport. It is about a 10 minute walk to the gondola up to Monte Baldo and into the center of Malcesine and ferries that make it easy to hop around the beautiful lake. Without getting in a car, our group rented a sail boat, rented bicycles and bombed down 6,000 foot Monte Baldo, hiked around and ate lunch atop Monte Baldo, rode for miles on the bike trail along the lake, toured Scaliger Castle and beautiful Malcesine, swam in the lake and easiest of all, lounged at the hotel pool with tasty drinks. We also enjoy the unusual architecture of the hotel, which they describe as "Everything looks like it needs to be fixed, but it's all perfectly in its place". Last, but certainly not least for a hotel, the rooms are very comfortable with a dash of quirkiness for interest. PrimaLuna in Malcesine is the kind of place we would like to come back to again and again.
