Staying at the Shalimar hotel was an extraordinary experience. The rooms are comfortable, clean and complete with facilities, including typical Malang snacks provided in the room. The breakfast menu also has a lot of variety and is delicious. The hotel is not spacious but cool. Unfortunately the car park is not large enough. Overall, the Shalimar hotel is highly recommended as a choice to stay in Malang city.

The rooms are new and clean, good sized but not sound proof. The lobby area was very noisy, not enough sound absorbing material, no place where one could comfortably chat in the quiet.

The entire hotel is like a historical museum, with many old objects inside. There is free afternoon tea and Indonesian traditional snacks after 4 pm. The front desk staff is also very friendly, but I don’t know why I ordered the Executive Suite instead of giving it to me. The one I chose was Superior Deluxe because we were going to Bromo Volcano at 12am the next day and only stayed for a few hours. Generally speaking, it is worth recommending.

A banquet banquet a recommended reunion with a special view and delicious food and friendly service not far from the city but away from the city's noise because it's on the 9th floor and can see the enchanting sunset.

The hotel is right beside MOG, 1 of the biggest Mall in Malang. They also has basement connector from Hotel to Mall so you wont get wet when its rain. The hotel room is clean. If you are lucky, you can see mountain from your room. The variaties of food not so many, i have to queue for long to get my eggs ready. They have good jamu (beras kencur, sinom and kunyit asem). If you are never been to Malang, i recommended you stayed in this hotel since near to many food places such as Gang Djangrik, Pecel Kawi, Bakso President, etc.

Very nice new hotel in Malang, designed to detail, easy access to anywhere, great hospitality of team member, value for prices. Room was very comfortable, equipped by newest technology that easy to use, nice view trough big window glass and all fresh furnitures Will coming back for sure…

Clean and Fresh hotel. Even, we never dare to swim becouse of the cold weather, we enjoy in everytime we come this hotel. Just try to rethink to rent apartement room where in the aam building. the apartement are not clean and many fungus under the bed and pantry area.

I booked 1night stay with breakfast but the next day morning when we go to the restaurant it was closed! I ask the front office if the breakfast was closed then he said it’s open. The he call the Chef. Then we ask where is the breakfast. The Chef give us option nasi goreng or mike goreng. I was expecting buffet breakfast. Not just nasi goreng. Then we ask why. The Chef said they prepare buffet if the guest more than 10. No wonder why nobody stay in this hotel. The service is bad. I ask for coffee and it arrive without milk. Hotel without milk? But I saw the security get his coffee and it’s with milk. What kind of service is this. They cannot provide milk to their guest. My friend ask for iced tea. The Chef said no ice in the hotel. Hotel without ice???? Meaning this hotel no freezer? The container for sugar is very dirty. We complain to the receptionist but he never comeback to us if they can give milk. Then we saw another staff she said she is the admin. We ask for duty manager but she said no duty manager also. What kind of hotel is this no duty manager? No wonder this hotel like this. Nobody managing the staff. After 45mins the milk served to us after I finished my coffee. And the milk looks like they spit on it. Will definitely not stay in this hotel anymore in the future and definitely will not recommend this hotel. We stay in 4different hotel with this trip from jogja. We stay in cheap hostel to expensive hotel. But this hotel has the worst service.
