Hotels Near RazKashmir Crafts in Melaka

We stayed at the TF Riverside for a night in May. This happened to be during Ramadan. The entrance from the street has steps up to reception (there is a steepish ramp, too steep for a wheelchair unless assisted by a strong person). We were able to check in without any issues. There's a car park under the hotel but there is no direct access from the car park into the hotel. We were allocated rooms on the 3rd floor overlooking the main road rather than the riverside. The lifts were functional but a little bumpy. The hotel was refurbished about a year ago, and whilst what is there is clean and OK, it's more towards a budget set up, and the furniture looked fairly tired. However a really basic annoyance in the room was the lack of and location of power outlets. There was a power outlet just above the floor level behind the fridge, and another about 1m above the floor halfway between the bed and the window in the middle of nowhere. The kettle (provided in the room) couldn't be plugged in unless you held it in mid-air whilst boiling or moved furniture to the outlet between the bed and window, or you moved the fridge. Whilst I can understand that the cost of moving power outlets isn't a minor thing, surely this should have been sorted out when the hotel was refurbed about a year ago? And could easily be mitigated for limited expense by providing a couple of multi-outlet power bars to provide desktop power by the fridge and bedside. The bathroom was again clean but fairly basic. Oh, and the hot water was barely warmer than ambient temperature both evening - which we reported the receptionist - but the issue still persisted the next morning. We had booked two rooms, and the power and hot water issues were the same in both rooms. After checking in we left the hotel for a wander aroound the city - which is gorgeous, and easily walkable from the hotel. As we left the hotel and walked initally along the riverside we could see an Iftar buffet being set up by the hotel on their riverside dining area, and the selection of food looked to be impressive and comprehensive. We got back to the hotel having had dinner elsewhere with friends and saw the tail end of the Iftar buffet, and looked forward to our breakfast the next morning. However, we were to be disappointed. When we got down for breakfast the next monring, we were presented a menu card of five items, of which two - the nasi lemak and rice porridge congee were unavailable. We've been at hotels when low occupancy means it's uneconomic to run a full buffet, and I completely understand this - but usually in these situations you get presented a decent list of whats available and a commitment provided they have the ingredients within reason they will try their best to make something for you. Considering what we had seen the previous evening we knew the hotel could do seriously good food, and the previous reviews of the good food back this up. Hotel location is extremely convenient, it’s very near to all main tourist attractions like Jonker walk, Red square and riverside. The room is spacious and clean. And the staffs are also friendly and helpful. Happy stay at Ibis!!!

Very practical location within walking distance to many attractions and Jonker Walk. 7-11 right next door with a few food outlets and the crazy cheap price is a great reason to stay here. The buffet breakfast is good for the price. I had tater tots. Love it. Only gripe, the water pressure in my room is pretty low.

Spacious room & cozy. Have balcony can see city view malacca. Nice design swimming pool & garden. Get access gym view pool. Breakfast super nice & variety (Malaysia, Chinese, Indian & Western Food). Walking distance Kampung Morten. Definitely will come again.

They are not lying when they said unlimited breakfast buffet from 7am till 12pm. This is the most great thing about this hotel. Their view is beautiful. Like others mentioned, we can see melaka river cruise at night from the balcony. Other than that, facilities in children a bit wear out already. However we did enjoy the pool because it’s quite big. The adult pool have infinity view but slightly poor in cleanliness.

Terrible pillow cleanliness as photo attached. Smelly & very dirty pillow. Yellow spot ( which im very sure is air liur basi stain) every where. We asked to changed 3 pillows then they give new pillow with the same stain. 2 nd time asked to change pillow again & they gave us new pillows. This time no stains. Thanks to the housekeeping guy for helping us.

Overall, I had a good time here but here is the drawback, the room needs serious make over, everything looks dated and I think it’s time to renovate the room. The food was okay, I expected more but it was okay 👍 Good part, the service here is brilliant, everyone was nice except the akak at buffet, yes I know we leaved the buffet area later than the allowed time but cmon, don’t be rude. I’ll gladly leave anyways

The property is shared with hotels and other property owners in one same building. Perfect Host was the owner of the property that we are staying with. It works like a serviced apartment except there is no lobby and proper check in. The staff will text you prior to your arrival to arrange to meet at the security counter at a very specific timing where he will appear to hand you the key card for check in. So must take note. The property is just about 5mins walk to Hatten Hotel, which is then connected to the other malls so rather convenient. Just infront of the property is also one of the major pick up location for buses that goes to other parts of Malaysia or Singapore. The rooms is clean and proper, just that it can be seen that the property is a little dated but otherwise still comfortable. Comes with a kitchenette and also swimming pool to use. Highly recommend this property to stay, with prices so affordable it is definitely on my top list. The only downside is there is no Wi-Fi provided. Otherwise, just below the property, there is also plenty of food choices so don't worry about getting hungry!
