overall rly liked my stay! good value for money
- spacious room, relatively clean. there’s a desk + chair in the room, as well as a chair (?) for your luggage
- shower has good water pressure and heater was easy to use. aircon in the room was strong as well
- service at the front desk was prompt and warm
- location is good! near mahkota parade and a couple of other malls/shopping centres, with convenience stores like family mart & 7/11 within walking distance.
- also abt 15-20 min walk to jonker street
- amenities could be better — the gym was tiny and poorly maintained, with very little equipment.
- noted that they have a few restaurants but didn’t try the food! they did give me a free high tea voucher for 2 days of my stay though, which was a nice gesture.
Check in was smooth.
Room has many things need done after check in. For eg. 1 room has no remote control, no mosquito control, fridge is emitting heat instead of cold air, entrance door got difficulty to push open, room w queen bed (bidet is leaking water when turn on). Maintenence is prompt thankfully, so no complain. Except didn't got chance to inform of the leaking bidet.
Aircon was ok. Not so hot, not so cold. But the cold air don't travel throughout the room, only at specific area.
Breakfast at 8am was so so. Not much variety. Family was looking forward to half boiled egg, but by the time, they want, its gone. The topping up is not haste, in general. Not sure, if it is due to manpower. Nasi lemak not enough lemak. Mee tai bak was bland, curry tasted slight diluted. The rest was ok. The coffee machine drinks are excellent, even tho there is 2 machine, the waiting for the drink takes awhile. Which is understable.
Check out was smooth.
If I'm given a choice to come back. Only for the room as there is privacy. And it's convenient for my mil as she is wheelchaired. As the room is near the lift. Breakfast no.
Clean and quiet hotel . Spacious and all amenities are available . There is a capsule coffee machine in the room . But no cakes were sent to room as promised from the crew - for birthday celebration . Poor front desk service , a bit slow and unfriendly . Used to stay here several times but this time was not that pleasant . Check - in 3/7 @ 8.30pm ( the front desk lady was rude ) . Hope the hospitality service may be improved .

highly recommended to traveller. parking a bit far from hotel. clean n tidy room.. hotel smell so fresh. good staff..should improve facilities at the gym. too much machine under maintainen. no aircon.. one more thing why escalator infront hotel lobby was not function.
Surprisingly good. The exterior is a bit forbidding, it's one of those old, huge buildings that has 2-3 different hotel / service apartment brands in it so I wasn't sure what it would be like. However, the room was gorgeous - it must have been a service apartment before because we had a nice living / dining room/kitchenette and a separate bedroom. Nicely furnished, very clean and comfortable. Of course, they'd taken out all the cooking related tools in the kitchenette but that didn't matter because we were only expecting a hotel, not an apartment.
The best feature was the rooftop swimming pool - really nice. Long enough for laps. Given it's rooftop location it was also nice to look out over the top - although there weren't any views, as such.
Also, the area is absolutely filled with lovely restaurants of every kind - Nyonya, Indian, Chinese - we went to a fantastic Chinese seafood restaurant because, unfortunately, the others were about to close - had a lovely chili crab dinner. The next morning we went to an Indian restaurant and had thosai and upma and so on. Lots of parking both on the street and in the hotel complex where parking is free if you stay with them.
It was only intended as a quick night stop but it exceeded expectations. If I do go to Melaka again I'd definitely consider staying here. It's also close to everything else in the city (not a big city to begin with) so while it may lack some of the facilities of the riverside hotels, it's close enough to go there and enjoy that part of Melaka.
We enjoyed the stay here. The room is huge, comfortable and nice! It has a stove and kitchen stuff/cookware for light cooking and bowling water. It also has a washing machine but you have to bring your own detergent. It has a bathtub and a separate shower. There were small toilet rolls, body wash, hair shampoo, bath towels, 2 toothbrushes and toothpastes. But the toothpastes were teeny tiny tubes, which can only be used twice, so we had to purchase additional toothpaste to use on our 2nd day there. There's ironing board, iron, hangers, hair dryer. 2 sachets of coffee and 2 sachets of tea were given on the tray, that's nice! No tissues!!! Overall, nice experience. Check in was delayed a little, so we waited at the lobby. Hotel staff texted to inform us that the room given to us was wrong 3 hours after we checked in. By then, we've gone out for our activities outside the hotel till late at night. It wasn't our mistake, and we did not want to have any change anyway. Everything was fine and good after that.
The location is near a lot of eating places. Walking to the tourist centre is about half an hour. You can take Grab to the places, if you do not want to walk, as it is very convenient and cheap.
Picture is the view from the window.

I would definitely recommend The Nest House to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable stay, ideal balance of quiet and accessibility. I’d be happy to return on my next trip!
For me it nice comfy to stay with,, food also nice.. location ok... you can walk from the hotel to jonker street but hence it's my first time went in malacca I took grab.. but when I realised can walk actually but the sun ray too much so I haven't walk. Spacious also. With iron you can iron your cloths.. but if you want to watch tv, it's not smart tv.. 😅 but It's OK.. I don't watch. Will stay again there. & it's safe.. although room is not sound prof. But it's OK... if u are in deep sleeping ofcourse u can't hear anything. So I will give 7/10.

Amazing
CcmoalkWe had a very good stay! The place is true as its advertised photo. 5 single beds, the room has a/c and a wall fan. Wifi was great and there's smart tv. Hairdryer, microwave, fridge, hangers, towel sufficiently provided. There's simple cutleries too, but they dont look clean.
Zero hassle check in and check out, host provide entrace door and room door key password early.
There's lots of nice eateries nearby, we had nice dinner and breakfast.
A big mall, bank , and KTV just steps away.
It takes about 20mins walk to jonker street.
We will definately stay here again.
DDiSingaporeStayed here many times! Love the family room (2 bedrooms with fridge and microwave). This hotel is well maintained, room still looks new despite its age. The shopping mall is just across the road. Easily walkable to Jonker syreet and dutch square/atyractions. Great location at attractive room rate.

AAngelynThe location is very convenient and near to famous places. There are a lot of restaurants. The service is great, they really accommodated us when we arrived at the hotel. We'll surely book on this hotel when we come back to Malacca again. 🙂
AAnonymous UserRecently stayed at Bayu View Hotel in Melaka Raya and had a pleasant experience overall. The location is one of the hotel’s strongest points, centrally situated with easy access to popular attractions, eateries, and shopping areas.
Although the size of room is quite small, but was clean and comfortable, with basic amenities that met my expectations. The air conditioning worked well, the bed was cozy, and the Wi-Fi connection was stable throughout my stay. I appreciated the quiet environment, which made it easy to relax after a day of exploring.
The staff were courteous during check-in and check-out. While the hotel doesn’t offer many luxury features, it’s a solid budget-friendly option that delivers good value for money.
If you’re looking for a no-frills, affordable place to stay in a strategic part of Melaka, Bayu View Hotel is worth considering.

RRUKIAH AG ALLIPositive side:
There's electric jug provided, even though no tea/coffee sachet there.
TV functions well.
Three mirrors including one in the bathroom.
There's a wardrobe but not enough space to hang the towels.
Got air conditioner n fan.
Negative side:
The room was quite small for triple.
The double and single bed were combined together😔.
The toilet was dirty especially the toilet bowl, there were stains everywhere ☹️.
Only two lamps in the room without bed lamp, one switch for them.
No lift... Luckily our room is only on the second floor.
