Generally a positive experience. The hotel is strategically located, making it convenient to explore nearby attractions. What stood out the most was the incredibly friendly staff, who went out of their way to ensure my family and I had a great time, especially with kids’ activities.
However, I did encounter a significant drawback—the towels in our room were stained and appeared dirty, particularly the floor towel. This was disappointing and detracted from an otherwise enjoyable stay.
Overall, if the housekeeping can improve the cleanliness of the towels, I'd highly recommend this hotel for families looking for a fun and welcoming atmosphere.

The hotel is conveniently located just one street off Jonker Street. Although the Jonker Street night market can be very lively and loud, the hotel's street itself is remarkably quiet, and it's still very close to all the sights. Right opposite the hotel is an ancestral hall, and there's even a Peranakan museum on the same street. Communication was a breeze as a lady at the front desk spoke Chinese. They have an elevator, which was a pleasant surprise as I initially thought there wasn't one and was ready to haul my luggage up myself! The hotel's decor and furnishings strongly resemble a Peranakan museum. It was quite amusing because I had just visited a Peranakan museum in Penang the day before, and then found myself essentially staying in one the very next day! A buffet breakfast is provided. While the selection isn't vast, everything offered was delicious and hit the spot. I highly recommend visiting the Straits Mosque, especially around dusk!

Pleasant Stay at Baba Hotel Malacca (Level 2 Room)
This wasn’t my first time staying at Baba Hotel Malacca, and overall, it was another pleasant experience.
We were assigned a room on Level 2. The room size was decent for two people, with a comfortable bed that provided a good night’s rest. There was no weird smell in the room, and the towels were fresh and pleasantly fragrant, which I really appreciated.
The bathroom had strong water pressure and no drainage issues, which is often overlooked but makes a difference. However, the basin water flow was a bit slow, and I feel the bathroom could benefit from a proper ventilation fan. Also, cleanliness between the tiles could be improved for a better overall feel.
One noticeable improvement during this visit was the internet speed, which was better than before—perhaps due to a different room location within the hotel.
That said, noise insulation could still be improved, as sounds from the corridor or neighboring rooms were occasionally audible.
A special mention to the FOM/DM, who was very friendly and attentive—really made us feel welcome. The same goes for the other staff members, who were equally warm and helpful throughout our stay.
All in all, it’s a comfortable and convenient place to stay in Malacca, and I wouldn’t hesitate to come back again.

This was our second stay here, and overall, we had a good experience. The location is great—close to top attractions and easily walkable. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, making for a restful night.
However, we were a bit disappointed this time. At 11:25 AM, a cleaner unlocked our room using their key card, even though checkout time is at 12 PM. Thankfully, my husband was with me at the time. Also, the loud chatter from their walkie-talkies outside was quite disruptive.

The hotel is nicely located near the Jonkers Street which I guess any visitor to Malacca is bound to visit. There are some good eateries nearby too. One element that I like is that it is also next to the riverwalk along the Malacca River.
The room is spacious and everything is working fine. My only comment is that it is lacking a fridge which I think is quite necessary for holding bottles of cold water when I return to the room.

Stayed here before, highly recommend. Only thing to note is that you may hear footsteps from the room directly over yours. The floor is probably not concrete but wood. One advice though, stay over the weekends as it's much livelier compared to weekdays.

I’ve always appreciated the convenient location and cleanliness of The Blanc Boutique Hotel it’s one of the reasons I keep returning. However, I would like to suggest that the hotel staff conduct a more thorough check of the room before guests check in. This includes ensuring the door chain lock is functional, the water heater is working properly, and the air conditioning is in good condition. A quick inspection of these basic amenities would greatly enhance the overall guest experience.

Concierge was polite and friendly. Room was clean and cozy, water heater worked great and was reliable. We were provided new bottled water when we asked. Just a few things could be improved/noted for future guests: TV and wifi signal not very good, the display outside the window is a little jarring and strange at first. Also there was someone in the next room seemingly banging things against the connecting door, and opening and closing their side trying to open ours, which was frightening. Not sure if it was staff or other guest. Overall still a pleasant stay, close to jonker walk. Do note that money changers might not be easy to find or not open on weekends

Hotel is in a very good location but its building is quite dated, require some renovations.
The reception area maintain the peranakan style of Melaka.

I have booked one night Jebat Kings Bed room for one night stay.
The Hotel is really clean and comfortable, we had a wonderful experience in there. Staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Ikram & Thea very professional and polite patient to help us book tickets & hotel booking. We enjoyed the trip very much.
Hotel breakfast was wonderful, have special daily menu too. We enjoyed it.
We have already re-booked the hotel stay on up coming 06/July/2025 and 20-23/July there, so see you again soon.
Once again, thank you so much for your attention and support us for our trip.

GGuest UserMy little trip is over.
Guan Gong Hotel is great. I compared so many hotels before finally settling on this one:
First, the name really appealed to me; it exudes righteousness and a sense of security.
Second, being a 25-year-old hotel, it's clean. When comparing many hotels in Malacca, I found the cleanliness to be poor and the facilities to be outdated. Looking at the pictures, this hotel is indeed spotless, which made me feel very comfortable.
The amenities are all new, and the overhead shower is clean and powerful.
Third, the location is fantastic. It's right on Jonker Street, close to several popular Nyonya restaurants, making it convenient for dining. The Nyonya photo studio is also nearby, so I don't have to worry about being late for an early appointment.
Taxi access is convenient through the nearby back door. The front door is right next to the ”Malacca River” (I'm not sure what it's called), and across the river is the Dutch Red House. All the attractions are nearby.
Fourth, it's right at my doorstep on weekends, making it safe at night. Fifth, the front desk guy, the other staff, and the owner were all incredibly nice. Because our room type needed to change, the guy worked incredibly hard to help us communicate with the owner, who was incredibly considerate and promptly agreed to the adjustment. The other staff were also very welcoming and helpful, offering recommendations for places to visit.
From the room itself to the service, I give it five stars! I'll definitely be back next time.

CCatherineminvOverall, it was very comfortable to live in. The house is very large and has two floors. It has a TV and a KTV. However, I don’t know how to use the KTV. I spent a long time researching it when I first started using it. I brought two small dogs here this time. They are pet-friendly. I prepared the items for the dogs. I have to pay a deposit of RM200 before check-in. It will be refunded after confirmation after check-out. The communication with the landlord was smooth. The location is very close to Chinatown. It is also very close to the Red House and can be reached on foot. The overall experience is very good! Will come back again! The only drawback is that there are a lot of mosquitoes. Even though the homeowner lit mosquito coils, there were still mosquitoes and I got a few bites. I hope the homeowner will pay more attention to mosquito control in the future! Next, the room is close to the road. People who sleep on the side of the window can easily hear the sounds outside. People who sleep lightly are advised to stay away from the window! The bed is very comfortable, with moderate firmness and softness for me. Overall, it’s good. The price was about RM300 when I booked it, so the CP value is good! This time we are staying with 4 people, and the maximum number can be 6 people. The more people there are, the higher the CP value is! If the price hasn’t increased, I highly recommend it!

AAnonymous UserFacilities: Standard for a budget hotel.
Cleanliness: Standard for a budget hotel.
Environment: It's close to the scenic area, but I personally found it a bit noisy due to daily chanting from a nearby temple.
Service: Acceptable.
Overall, it's a suitable choice offering good value for money, perfect for budget travel.

TTAKUMALocated in Chinatown, it is a very convenient place for sightseeing.
It is a hotel with a retro appearance that makes you feel the history.
It's old, but it's reasonably clean
It was a room with a window, but the shutters facing the courtyard were closed, so it was virtually a windowless room.

SsumlukFrom Chicken Farm Street is indeed very close on a block location very convenient across the river is the Red House to nearby attractions walk OK sun
Upstairs in the restaurant by the river about the noise actually did not sleep quite well
But checkin need to call the CS (there is a notice at the door) a very difficult little brother will come down to open the door and exit requires a password and there are 2 passwords for the front and back doors
Stayed for 4 nights, no one cleans the room and clears the garbage 🗑️
Not changing towels and sheets is acceptable but not cleaning the garbage this point is not very satisfied because garbage will irritate 🪳
The bathroom has infiltration to the floor of the room needs to be more careful about placing personal items
The TV is set in the furnishings of the app can not operate basic I do not know if the wifi problem or remote control problem give up ....
Other than the location price nothing else 😂

UUkasyaI made a last minute booking without expecting anything. But, I made the best choice! This hotel is located perfectly within Jonker area. The man at the counter, he was kind, attentive and always smiling. The room, it was spotless, bedding was clean and comfy. The toilet was very clean and spotless. The water running a little slow, heater was not really working. These are part can be working on to improve. Other than that! Value for money!

LLee Oi KengCleanliness and location is good, very near Jonker street. Cons are security wise needs improvement cos anyone can just walk in and especially in the early morning when we came down, the Indian guy was sleeping at the counter and I doubt he knows who went in and out. The room is very spacious but they should provide at leastt a small piece of soap for hand washing. When we arrived at the hotel at about 1pm, since the rooms are available, why can't they just let us check in instead of having to wait till 3pm ( we heard there were less than 10 rooms occupied that night). I was abit unlucky cos 1st room issued to us was a room under maintenance, 2nd room given to us only has a towel and 1 cup for 2 pax in the room and the toilet flushing system broke down in the middle of the night, phone out of order and I had to climb up and down the stairs numerous times to ask for things. No lifts in the hotel.

JJittaweeThe accommodation is as advertised. The place is easy to find, not far from the bus stop. The staff is very good. There is a luggage storage service before check-in and after check-out. The air conditioner is very cool. The bathroom is clean. The water heater is great. There are 2 bottles of drinking water, towels and a hair dryer in the room. There are 4 pillows. I like it very much because I am addicted to hugging pillows.
In summary, it is very good. I recommend it. It is worth the price.
