Very Good

I enjoyed the experience, but to be honest, this place is not for me or solo travelers. I found it very expensive for what it was! Very comfy bed, amazing breakfast, but i personally not a big breakfast person.

A hotel with local characteristics, the public space and rooms are filled with ancient furniture and furnishings. You don't even need to go to the Nyonya Museum to see it haha. It's just because it's an old house, so you have to be more careful when using it. It's a bit inconvenient to carry large luggage because it's not easy to drag on the ground. The location is first-class, right in the center of the scenic spot, it's convenient to go anywhere, and you can come back to rest halfway. The breakfast is also very local and delicious. The restaurant is not open to the public, only for customers to have breakfast, otherwise I think it should be on the must-eat list of reviews.

A very special Nyonya hotel. There are many antique furniture on display. The environment is clean, the security is strict, and it feels very safe! The hotel owner was warmly received, the staff were courteous, and the breakfast here was worth trying. It was all Nyonya special food. We are very happy to have chosen this hotel to stay!

The location is strategic and the hotel has the best service. It’s great that the ancient traditional architecture has been preserved and carried forward. During breakfast, the proprietress personally explained the origin of the hotel. I bought Malacca’s souvenirs because they were not convenient to carry, so the little brother in the store also helped with express delivery. Very attentive service. I will definitely come again during the Chinese New Year.

This is a beautiful historic building furnished with historical furniture from Malaysia. The rooms are clean and well kept. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They are keen to answer any questions about Malaka and offer suggestions for places to eat, shop, get money and more. I would highly recommend staying here and plan on staying in the future if I come back.

A fabulous stay! The hotel excudes Peranakan nostalgia and charm. It's on an ideal location next to the Melaka river and Jonker Street, a 2 mins walk away. The Nyonya breakfast was varied and delicious. Charming and very knowledgeable hosts. I would certainly stay there again.

Had an incredible stay at 5Heeren recently. It's like walking into a peranakan museum with century old antiques. Centrally located, beautiful squeaky clean rooms with amazing views, excellent hosts, friendly staff and delicious Muslim friendly nyonya breakfast!

The owner & staff is very kind and treats you like a family. Nyonya breakfast is very authentic and delicious. Room clean & kagen water for drinking. Location is good, less than 5 mins to jonker street. Will recommend to friends and family. Enjoy my trip to melaka.

A fabulous weekend in Melaka made even more special staying in this gem of a hotel. No detail is left to chance, and the staff are super attentive. Can't wait to visit here again! Room was picture perfect, and the Malay breakfast was spectacular. Highly recommended!

Beautiful hotel. A wonderful experience staying at the large well appointed room with a large balcony and a lovely view of the Melaka River. Felt like visiting a friend: the owner Kamilla is a lovely lady, very warm, friendly and hospitable. We enjoyed our chat over a yummy breakfast. Thank you Kamilla, Chester and the team. We'll be back soon!

My second stay and invited my UK friends to this fabulous hotel. They were very happy with the rooms and central location to Jonker St and nearby historical places. The breakfast is truly local Malaccan style and very tasty. And the owners are very helpful to give an insight with the hotel history. They will give visitors a good introduction to the many antique furniture and fittings. A stay at 5Heeren is priceless

I had a week between business meetings in Kuala Lumpur. 5 Heeren was a wonderful way to escape the city and relax. I stayed in a suite with balcony overlooking Melaka River. Interesting furnishings and very clean. Excellent Malaysian breakfast fed me all day. Helpful staff. Good internet and I even got some work done. Great experience.

Outstanding. Highly recommend. We had the room with a view over the river with a huge terrace. Best view you could get in the old city. The hotel is unique run by its owner who greets you and offers a huge amount of useful information. The reception is full of old antiques and even the building itself is fascinating ( took 7 years to renovate). The staff were so helpful finding us and booking some fab restaurants for the evening ( only breakfast here). I can’t recommend this wonderful place enough.

My husband and I were on a trip in malaysia and stayed at the 5 Heeren hotel for 1 night. The house is an old parokan mansion full of antiques and traditional tools and the place is spotless. The lady owner and her staff Made our stay unforgettable by giving us the best room, a suite with unique view on the canal, and a typical malysian breakfast which was very tasty and had a large variety of choices. Try their the if you go as it is special. When we left they even gave us some local handmade cakes for our next journey.
