At 230+ € the night, with good reviews (and a score of 8.4 on Booking) you would think that you can't go wrong staying at this property. So wrong indeed. Where best to begin? Shall we speak about the several automated and out of context email communications, acting as I had not already provided all my information through Booking, and pressing me to give my email address and paying for the night in full (which was already set to be on-site through Booking)? You know what? I am an obliging guest. Since it seemed to be important to the management, I decided to pay upfront and settled the bill 4 hours before our check-in. Shall I mention that, on the day I made the reservation, I had sent a nice and polite message to enquire about quiet rooms with a view on the castle - only to see that I would get no answer and be allocated a room on the courtyard, noisy with the airco split systems? Shall I talk about our arrival (with prior mention that we would be using the parking garage but without having received any answer)? I pressed the interphone by the parking door and was told to leave the car and go to Reception first... A first, indeed, as no other hotel had ever had that impudence! So I got to the Reception. And what happened? If you remember, I had paid for the room... but the Receptionist told me that it was not the case, and "I would have to pay for the room". Since I was tired and I didn't want to pick up a fight, I let it slip and politely declined, deciding on just... waiting patiently for things to change. Waiting for a few minutes miraculously fixed the problem indeed, as the person at the desk suddenly "found it" (My card? My payment? Not sure - was not told). In the end, I did not have to pay twice, that's for sure. But then, the disappointment continued. You see, for 230+ € per night, you'll get only 60 € worth of cleaning (hair on the wall above the bathroom tub, clearly not mine...), preparation (wall-mounted shower gel container completely empty and no individual doses available, too expensive probably...) or repair (dislodged fixing rod on the floor between rooms, anemic sink drain lever...). Fortunately, the bed was very comfortable, the air conditioning was working well and quite silent too (a very rare feature, so kudos for that!), and the breakfast really good and varied. But again, overall that's worth 60 €, not the quadruple. Well-rested, it was time for the checkout. Nothing could go wrong any longer! I was so wrong again. This is when Reception informed me that I had to pay for our children's breakfast because Booking had not properly communicated with them and "Computer Said No". I immediately messaged Booking but since these things usually take hours to solve, not seconds, I also had to make a 20 EUR additional payment to the hotel. Appalling. Will not come again, having been so much happier pretty much anywhere else all my life. Kindly suggest you to do the same, and let this establishment close its doors in p
