Hotel Sole

Fantastic hotel, location is perfect and the staff are very helpful, from the receptionist to the waiters in the restaurant and most of all the singing waitress who provides a lovely breakfast!! We were lucky enough to be given room 47….all I can say is WOW, the room itself is clean but basic but the terrace more than makes up for that!!…The views from the terrace are amazing, a superb place to view the sunset!…we will definitely be back!

A central location right on the main road and just a few minutes walk from the main area of Maiori. We were in room 33, a plus being that we got a balcony with a sea view and glorious views. The road was noisy at times although this is to be expected. There there was a nearby bar that played loud music and what sounded like karaoke until 3am on four nights of the 14 we were there however there were shutters on the patio door which helped to reduce some of the noise. We were directly underneath the garden terrace where they serve breakfast so we could hear chairs and movement from 7am onwards, again to be expected. The room was basic but functioned well with nice comfortable single beds which were put together to make a double. There was a fan and air conditioning, both essential with temperatures exceeding 30 degrees. The bathroom was tiled and fairly modern with a good shower, there was a hairdryer (although we didn't use) in the bathroom. There was a dressing table with a decent sized mirror and a small dressing table. The wardrobe was just about sufficient, although we did take a lot of clothes - we were staying for two weeks. There was a safe within the room which we used to store passports etc. The room was cleaned daily unless we specifically asked for it not to be. Towels and linen were refreshed. The breakfast was served on the terrace and there was a good selection of typical continental foods such as omelettes with cheese and ham, bacon. There were a couple of cereals on offer, toast, croissants and locally produced cakes such as lemon. The drinks machine gave the option of various coffees, hot water for tea and there were juices available too. We ate in the restaurant on two occasions, the food was nice enough and typical of what was available in surrounding restaurants. The staff were very busy although very friendly and approachable. Overall we had a great holiday and the hotel was in the perfect position for us to be able to explore the Amalafi coast by bus, boat and train. If you are looking for a quiet location within the region, Hotel Sole probably isn't ideal but with it's superb location, it really does depends on what your priority is.

This was our first holiday since 2020 so we were slightly nervous. On arrival at the hotel the staff were so friendly and welcoming and it seemed we had been upgraded to one of the apar**ents. What a lovely surprise. The apar**ent was spacious, with separate bedroom and living room area with kitchen. The balcony was massive with fantastic views. The hotel is in a brilliant location on the sea front so great to walk everywhere. Breakfast was included so we had pastries, meat, fruit, omelets etc so loads of choice. Again the staff were so friendly and attentive, even remembering our drink choices after a couple of days!!! We ate out with the exception of one night. The meal in the hotel was amazing, and great value for money. In terms of location we could walk to Amalfi, Minori and Ravello so plenty of walking and lots of beautiful places to explore. We came across lots of nice places to eat. We would really recommend this hotel and the area. A perfect week.

We stayed on the sixth floor and had a lovely sea view from our spacious balcony. The room had all we needed and was comfy albeit maybe basic for some. Breakfast was on the terrace from 7-10 with croissants, cakes, meat , coffee and a lovely view out over the sea. Lift cosy and we walked. Really handy for the beach and free public one about 5 minutes to the left. Close to town and so some nights the sound of music till late but not to worry. The staff were good and a nice restaurant at the hotel. We would stay again, there is a city tax of 3 euros per day

This place is AMAZING! Our room had a balcony that overlooking the ocean so you could hear the waves all night. The staff go out of their way to make you feel right at home. We stayed for 6 days and felt like part of the family. The attached restaurant and bar is so good, serving delicious fare and drinks. The breakfast is absolutely fantastic! There’s lots to explore close by or hop a ferry or bus to explore further out. Either way, you’re in for a treat if you stay at this hotel. We will definitely stay here again when we return this summer. Can’t wait! 😄

I stayed in this hotel for a week with my daughter. It was a wonderful holiday. There are so many good things about this hotel: every single person who works here is extremely positive and helpful; the rooms are exceptionally clean (and are also cleaned daily); the beds are super comfortable; the location is absolutely perfect. Most of the beach is privately owned and you have to pay to use a sunbed, which is completely standard practice. There are parts of the beach that are free, but if you want a comfortable day on a sun lounger, and access to a lovely restaurant and sunbeds, then I suggest you use the beach which is affiliated to this hotel. The restaurant downstairs serves excellent food and wine. We also visited the cocktail bar on the sixth floor on a couple of nights which was also super special. We took the boat to a couple of towns along the coastline, but I have to say that I really think Maori is the best. It’s busy, but it’s nowhere near as crowded as Amalfi or Positano. I really hope I get to visit this hotel again.

We had a lovely suite with a large deck overlooking the beach! Very clean and simply furnished but perfect for the beach! Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ample and had a lovely, extensive variety! Delicious hot cocoa! I’d love to return!

We feel that we were slightly Misold our stay here, when we arrived, we found out the hotel was in some apar**ent blocks, so we had to get in a tiny lift that barely fits 2 people in to the 6th floor where our room was, we then had a room that wasn’t massively clean and the aircon wasn’t working properly, our balcony, while it was a good size, was looking out to the side street, we had booked from the image a room that was showing a rooftop balcony, we have now found out that this image advert is actually the roof bar and where you have breakfast, disappointed all round I’d say after having a fab stay in Sorrento We also had to pay to use the hotels beach, this was €30 , we got 2 sunbeds for that on a beach that was extremely over crowded and didn’t feel very safe
