I chose this hotel because it was in a good location near the train station and provided breakfast. The room was a good size and had large windows which made it bright and cheerful, and very clean.The bathroom was somewhat small, but the shower was good. Breakfast was provided and the breakfast room was pleasant with a good variety of foods available. The hotel was easy walking distance to Mainz attractions and we enjoyed exploring the area.

Stayed here for a conference. It's a cute little hotel opposite the central station in Mainz, so it's very easy to get to places and there are many shops and supermarkets around. My room was small but clean, and there wasn't much noise despite overlooking the station. The bathroom was very nice, I think it was bigger than the room itself! The staff were very warm and friendly and the breakfast was more than adequate.

The hotel is rather 'quirky'. It has obviously been altered internally at some time and this may account for some unusual features like a step in the bedroom floor and a concrete(?) column at the end of the bed! That said, our room was spacious, comfortable, warm and quiet. The bathroom was small but adequate and the shower had a really good pressure. If you overlook the the little oddities and don't mind the acres of woodchip on the walls, it's a really nice hotel. Breakfast was typical of many continental hotels. The choices may have been limited, but the quality of the food was excellent. The staff are helpful and friendly, the location is good (literally across the road from the railway station) and there are a number of very good restaurants within easy walking distance. City centre, shops and cathedral are also within walking distance. I would happily recommend the hotel Koenigshof for a stay in Mainz.

The hotel was nicely located right next to the train station. So it was convenient, bit noisy though. The room was decently sized and functional. But it was outdated and smelt slightly. It had no carpet. The bare floor was quite dusty due to the construction on the hotel building right outside of my balcony which was covered by scaffolds. Looking out from the glass door at the balcony, it was quite disgusting: birds poops, construction materials, dirts…. Breakfast buffet was OK: simple, limited options. I would be happy with it if I didn’t see flies constantly flying over and hugging around breads and cold cuts on the food counter. Most staffs were nice, however there was one lady at reception who was rather rude and not welcoming.

This hotel is in an excellent location opposite the main station. On arrival it does seem that the hotel is from a bygone era but it is extremely clean. The beds were very comfortable and the heating was working properly. The shower pressure was quite low but acceptable. Breakfast was really nice with good coffee and hot bacon and eggs along with a continental breakfast. The staff members were friendly and smiling. All in all a very nice hotel and we really enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful reception lady at front desk . Very friendly and knowledgeable . Lift for upper floors . Great on-site Italian Restaurant with excellent food choices and price point . Breakfast was complete with hot and cold choices . Walked our bikes in from the front door to the front lobby and stored and locked them there. Room nice size and very clean and bright. Bathroom clean and bright . Quiet even though within 150m. of the train station .

If we start from the location, the convenience for those traveling by train or in any case having to take the train to the airport or elsewhere should be immediately underlined: the hotel is 50 meters from the station. Nonetheless, it doesn't seem noisy, there is no traffic on that street. The environment can be improved: the reception is very old, and upon arrival it didn't give me the impression of cleanliness: an ugly, slightly dirty floor. Let's say that the appearance is not very well looked after in general: around 1pm, during room cleaning time, the corridor was cluttered with used sheets and bottles and other things, not a good way to give a good impression. Let's get to more substantial things. The room is clean, has an armchair and desk, TV; no mini-bar, just a free bottle of water. Wi-Fi is present but not very fast. There is no safe. Wardrobe with two doors, however: only two hangers, plastic and barely functional. What's the point of a wardrobe without hangers? Bathroom with shower, hairdryer, no courtesy set. Be careful if you have heavy luggage or walking problems: ask not to have rooms on the fifth floor, because the elevator only reaches the fourth. The breakfast buffet has the usual sweet/savory offering; however lacking on the sweet side, there are no croissants or cakes or similar, only yogurt, muessli, corn fakes. Finally, a significant oversight should be mentioned: at the reception a room number different from the one assigned was given, with the result that upon returning to the hotel I was given a key that was not for my room, with the risk that the reverse with another guest. It's an oversight, it won't happen again, but if in doubt, bring your key with you. Having said all this, the hotel is still a possible choice. Perhaps the price needs to be adjusted down a bit.

Located just off a side street, so the train station is just around the corner, but there is still a quiet atmosphere. Very friendly reception, requests are dealt with very kindly. Bathroom, room - the whole hotel very clean. Breakfast very good. I would love to come back.
