I had an "Executive" room which, including breakfast cost £195. It was fine, albeit a bit dated although I had to request a bathrobe and there was no vanity mirror as had been advertised. Where it all went downhill was the bathroom. My goodness. So, first of all the shower was just an attachment over the bath. Surprising these days in a hotel that sells itself as a luxury hotel. Worse was to come though, it was on one of those poles where you can adjust the height - except you couldn't adjust the height, it was completely stuck at about 4 foot high!. The water pressure was woeful so my morning shower comprised of me crouching in the bath with a dribble of luke warm water running over my face. Hardly the "luxury executive" experience I was led to believe I would be getting. But the thing is - the tiles and bath surround were completely revolting. Thick black mold all over and the bath panel was cracked and dirty. It was disgusting. I've attached some photos. Other than that, all the staff I encountered were delightful - pleasant, helpful and, in the main, efficient. The meal in the Marble Lounge was very nice and breakfast, when it eventually arrived, was perfectly good. The breakfast service was somewhat chaotic and at one stage whilst the restaurant was only about half full every single table was full of uncleared crockery and cutlery. It didn't seem to be anyone's job to clear tables. Other than the truly disgusting bathroom, I think I paid a fair price for what I received.
