Arrived earlier than our check in time. Initially thought we could get the bus/ walk from the airport. So pleased we decided to rent a car instead - 10 minute, easy drive from the airport. Parking just outside on the road. There are 2 allocated spaces for guests and on street parking also. Left our bags with the hosts and had a little room + shower/ toilet to get changed in. Walked to Mahebourg Monday market- absolutely massive, selling everything you could possibly think of. Check in was smooth - paid in cash (MUR). Room 202 has everything you need - bed, wardrobe, fridge, kettle, cutlery, sofa. Air con works very well. Safe we could not get to work, but if we asked could have probably found out. Tv turned on but had 2 pin electricity point for freeview box. All sockets in room are 3 point (UK style) so make sure you bring an adapter or else won’t be able to watch tv. Shower is brilliant - powerful and great temperature. Decor is slightly dated and some signs of wear and tear, but would definitely recommend for a good nights sleep, close to the airport and very cheap! So can’t complain. Lovely view of the ocean from balcony. Pool very refreshing for an afternoon dip, and poolside area clean with lots of places to chill. Very quiet and peaceful location with nice breeze. 5 minute drive to Point D’Esny beach - white sand and clear waters. Breakfast served between 8-9am. Fresh baguette, tea/ coffee, fruit juice, banana, yoghurt. Filling and included in your nightly accommodation price. Overall, has a chilled and relaxed vibe with lots of quirky and unique touches all around the hotel. Thank you so much to the Coco Villa family for having us!
