Very disgusting and dirty place to stay. Had to run away after we saw condition of the room and furniture. We ask manager to cancel it but the guy was so rude and told us that we are here only to rate this place and not stay here, so he won’t cancel our reservation and this is not the 5 start hotel.

The place is quiet and small. Rooms are a bit run down and reasonably clean, although grime can be seen here and there. To take into account the cheap price the quality may be acceptable. Breakfast was a joke: half a banana, half egg, lukewarm coffee or tea. Maybe they are desperately trying to cut down costs but this is not a very good way to make savings. The host is very friendly and helpful so that helps to balance negative aspects. He offered a ride to Grand Baie with 60€, which is higher than a regular taxi price.

We spent the night of January 12 to 13, 2023 in a room in this residence. The welcome from the owners is very warm and the breakfast taken on the roof top is very generous (fruit, homemade pancakes in front of you, bread stuffed with butter and cheese, jam, Nutella, coffee, tea, milk) and very good. The room is not very large but functional (large bed, bedside table, table, chair and fridge) and the bathroom is also very good. For a short stay it’s perfect 🙂

We were only here for 1 night and a half day. The owner family are very friendly and exceptionally helpful people, not only verbally but also with practical help. The rooms are not what we would expect in Europe, the bed is good and taking a shower is perfect. The room we stayed in was very spacious. The house is located near the center of the city, 10 minutes to the Waterfront, the Cavendish Bridge and the historical museum. The airport is close by. People are either picked up at the airport (additional cost), or easily reached by rental car. Please note, some GPS devices do not find the street, the early name was Rue de l'Hopital. Definitely recommended. French, English and some oriental languages Wifi works well, breakfast and parking within the fence, included

When we arrived here, our perfectionism-spoiled eyes were disappointed. The friendliness of the hosts and the people here in general impressed us. Here you can get to know Mauritius with its nice, simple, uncomplicated people. Thanks to the hosts Ritesh and Ovima and their family.
