Hotel Nour Palace Resort & Thalasso Mahdia

Staff are very friendly i can’t fault them at all. The food is ok, a bit on boring to be fair. Always warm and never hot. No tea facilities after supper. Was advised to go to the pub and request so not good if you like a hot drink after your meal. The rooms are old and not very clean. Hair almost everywhere especially in the bathroom, stuck on tub handle, toilet and floor. The room furniture is very basic and not clean. Kindly see photos. The spa was really good though and staff over friendly

We came for hubby 's 50th birthday celebration and special thanks to Yassine who made it very special. Staff are really nice happy to help and guide whenever needed.

We spent a one-week holiday at this 5-star hotel, located about an hour and a half drive from Monastir Airport. The location is clearly being used to its full capacity (as that’s how the business runs), but it didn’t negatively affect our experience. The hotel, opened in 2002, offers spacious rooms with simple, no-frills furniture. It’s not a luxury design hotel, but it's comfortable and functional. The large outdoor pool is definitely a plus, and there’s always staff nearby ready to help. Entertainment programs are ongoing throughout the day – lots of guests seem to enjoy them and get involved. Regarding the food, we found it satisfying and plentiful. Honestly, I’m not sure what expectations the people who wrote negative reviews had – for us, the variety and quantity were just fine. The beach is private and has fine sand, which we really enjoyed. Although the number of sunbeds is relatively limited, it’s still possible to find available spots—especially if you go early, around 8 AM. As for the drinks: the alcoholic beverages are mostly local and not top quality, but they’re acceptable for a one-week stay. What was strange, however, was that beer was often served warm – something we didn’t quite understand (!). One major downside for us was the behavior of some guests – specifically, parents letting their children run and play loudly in the hallways (which are quite wide). Of course, this isn’t the hotel’s fault, but it would be helpful if the hotel posted some signs asking guests to respect quiet hours and shared spaces. The staff were extremely kind and always willing to help. We especially appreciated their support when we had a medical situation with our daughter. A big thank you to the beach staff and especially to the Guest Relation Manager, Mouna – your help in contacting the doctor and your kind support made a real difference. One suggestion for improvement: for guests who have a late check-out but can’t get a room extension, it would be great to have access to a proper changing room with showers. All in all, if we choose Tunisia again for a future holiday, we would definitely return to this hotel – no hesitation.

There was quite a few recent negative reviews, so naturally I was a bit worried if I made a right choice. The "pressure" was eased immediately upon arrival, as I arrived into nice spacious and somewhat luxurious looking lobby, with panoramic sea view and was greeted by very friendly host. The hotel is very big, getting to my room (second to last section) was quite a journey! I booked sea view room, and while it was technically true, I could see the sea even standing at the very door, it was just a glimpse of the sea, it was more of a pool view room. Room itself was rather big and very standard with nothing notably good or horribly wrong about it, however socket next to bed was not working. Some people here emphasize random cracks in tiles or scratch in paint as some sort of horror, and yes, there was some of these in my room here and there, but to me this is completely normal and expected, given amount of different people who live in these rooms every year. There is however a problem that a lot of people seemed to be having - doors! A lot of people, me included, seemed to be struggling opening doors with keycards, there is apparently very special speed at which you have to swipe, too fast or too slow and it doesn't work, impossible to explain, just have to get the "feel" of it. Cleaning lady saw me struggling once and kindly offered to show how it is done (twice in a row without fail). And yet, by the end of the week it could still take me 1-3 tries, better than at first, but never got this art of opening door perfected. My room was cleaned every day. Some "fresh" towels and sheets did have some stains on them, unfortunately. While I'm fine with cracks in tiles and paint, stained towels and sheets I am not fine with. Some reviewers complained about lack of WiFi in rooms and claimed that it only worked at reception. Wifi was fine in my room, which was far from reception. Wifi was also working at pool, reception, buffet, amphitheatre. The other question is that it can be unstable at times. The beach here is great! It is right outside and it is a fine sand, there is no need for watershoes. Beautiful turquoise very warm water. Blue jellyfish are rather common in water, some say "ew", I like jellyfish! One day I also saw a seahorse, which I never saw "in the wild" before! Beach bar is available and serves drinks like beer, coffee and various soft drinks. A couple of steps away is a pool bar, which in addition to drinks also serves snacks throughout the day, but nothing fancy, I usually preferred to save stomach space for proper buffet meal. A lot of people complained about lack of sunbeds at the beach and claimed that all are taken as early as 6:30 in the morning. Well, I found this to not be true at all. Yes, all the most convenient spots are taken/reserved by early birds, however there was always plenty of unused and still stacked sunbeds available. I've been spending most of my time at the beach and there were definitely unused and unclaim

Mahdia is a beautiful small city. Hotel Nour Palace is located 7-10 minutes by car to centre. We stayed here 7 nights and what I can say is: Staff is very friendly ( animation team is good but every day is the same so it really gets boring, they really should find some better options) Food is good but definitelly needs some improvement (they only serve one type of breed after few days it really gets boring) Usually food is mostly the same every day but everyone can find something for themselves. Rooms are fine. Pool and beach to the sea are good too, but beach is getting closed at 18 o'clock so there is no chance for sunset/sunrise walks. Thankfully, there are nearby beaches where you can enjoy sunsets. Not a bad experience but as I previously said it definitelly needs improvements.

This is our maybe over 20th time in Mahdia and we never get bored of it! Every year, I return to Nour Palace in Mahdia, and every year, I fall in love with it all over again. This place is truly special, not just because of its stunning beachfront location or delicious food, but because of the warmth and kindness of the people who work there. From the moment you arrive, you're welcomed like family. The hospitality is unlike anywhere else. The hotel has everything you could wish for great rooms, a beautiful beach just steps away, a relaxing spa, and entertainment for all ages. Whether you want to relax by the pool, walk along the sandy shore, or enjoy tasty Tunisian and international dishes, it’s all here. You honestly don’t need to travel around Europe to find a perfect holiday – Nour Palace has it all, and more. What keeps me coming back the most are the people. The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful, and always smiling. You can feel that they genuinely care about your stay and go the extra mile to make it unforgettable. It’s the warmth of the people that makes this place feel like home. If you’re looking for a place where you can relax, enjoy good food, feel welcome, and have everything you need for a perfect vacation , this hotel is it. Can’t wait to be back next year!
