Nice quiet campsite, near the river (not all sites are within view), with a great place to watch sunset, and a high quality sunset cruise on the river.

A real gem on the Okavango! This lodge is perfectly situated on the banks of the river, with spectacular views of the water and the wildlife that it attracts. The food is sensational and the service top flight. You can't do any better for the price.

Surely the strong point of the lodge is its position overlooking the Okavango. In addition we were in the Lion suite which was very nice and big : it had an amazing terrace with 2 floating daybed and a bathtub overlooking the river and the buffalo park. These are the only reasons for rating it "good". A part from that, we found the lodge , especially the common areas , a bit old .and in need of revamping In addition there was not the usual welcoming we found in any other lodges we stayed and the overall atmosphere was quite “cold “. The food was ok but nothing special. Anyway when my husband was not feeling well, they provided us dinner in the room and we appreciated it . We had our own private guide but we took advantage of the boat safari at sun set which was very nice and which we suggest. Anna and Francesco from Italy

We stayed 2 nights at another camp a bit upstream but wished we had chosed Ndhovu for our whole 3 nights in the area. The calm, the common area deck overlooking the tranquil flow of the river and the hippo grunts all along made it a perfect stay. The lovely staff add to the charm

Well, ok, not actually in it - but mowing the grass outside before moving on to the grass surrounding each tent. Fantastic, very relaxing place with prime hippo watching opportunities - from the lovely deck over the river during the day; on a sunset cruise and maybe an even closer encounter at night. Delicious, unfussy home cooking. Good hosts and 'luxury canvass' with the feeling of a tent and ability to open both sides (just leaving the fly net) to hear the sounds of the night while being protected from the fantastic wildlife just outside the door.

We had an extensive trip throughout Zimbabwe, the Caprivi as well as Namibia and we truly can say that from the minute we arrived to the moment of our departure, our stay at Ndovu was wonderful! Johan and Monica were superb hosts, who obviously have a passion for their job. Johan's ears were literally perked at the dinner table (as well as breakfast!) for any possible needs we may have had and presented the item without us even asking for it! Our chats on the deck were wonderful, as he was informative and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Ndhovu for those visiting the Caprivi! Michael and Toy, Percy and Christelle and kids

Simple but friendly tent camp right on the Okavango river at the beginning of the delta. Great nature sounds: hippos, elephants and birds. This place has the atmosphere of a typical owner-run camp, with communal dining and good talks among guests. Good sunset boat trip among hippos and easy 15 minute drive to nearby Mahango NP.

we stayed in July with 4 people (2 adults and 2 young people) in one tent and it was an amazing experience and real near to nature. The sunrise was marvellous, especially with a 2 degrees cold night and "warm" river with hippos on the other side. The tent is simple, but this is what you need here. The food and the service excellent. The location next to the river and far away from any large touristic areas. The view of the bank with hippos, elephants and buffalos. The season was well. No mosquitos and no snakes, but we did sleep with warm clothes on, although the beds were warm enough. The trips very good and Johan explained a lot. We did do the Mahango drive. Johann guided us each evening to the tent in case of any hippos. Unfortunately we did not see during the night, but we think they were there as there was "stumbling noise" near. we would love to go back and enjoy the location and nature.
