This is a typical motel established in the 1970s or even earlier, but well maintained. Looks like there was some refresh done to the outside with new doors and windows. The inside of the motel is dated, but comfortable for 1-2 night stay. We rode the Veloroute Gourmande so we were on our bikes. The lady who ran the place WAS SO friendly and helpful. She even offered to do our laundry for us for free (we gave her a tip, which she refused, but we insisted). Foreigners (mostly from China) run these small hotels in the Eastern Townships. The owners have immigrated to Canada 25 years ago, and have embraced Canadian life. They are super friendly and accommodating. We needed some rags for our bikes, and she was more than generous giving us OLD tattered towels that they keep for these types of uses. She also grabbed a hose to help us wash our bikes down after a grimy ride in the rain. If you're on a budget, but need a comfortable place to stay in Magog, stay here, it's in a quiet part of the mouth of the Magog River, so close enough to "downtown" but far enough that you're surrounded by residential homes.
