Lage ist top, wenn die Anreise auf die „Insel“ aufgrund von Straßensperrungen auch etwas abenteuerlich war. Es handelt sich hier definitiv eher um ein Boarding House als um ein Hotel. Das Appartement war groß und sauber mit Küche. Allerdings sehr kalt. Die Heizung funktionierte nicht. Check in war bereits um 17 Uhr nicht mehr besetzt und dies lief über das Restaurant. Dieses ist preislich zwar recht hoch aber qualitativ ok. Hunde sind erlaubt und für sie gibt es tolle Gassirunden direkt vor der Tür. Wenn man also eher Appartement als Hotel möchte, ist man hier richtig. Ich selbst würde es jedoch nicht mehr buchen.

Wir waren mit einer größeren Gesellschaft zum Lunch anlässlich eines Geburtstages im Elb. Ab der Buchung, bis zum Verlassen des Restaurants hat alles professionell funktioniert. Unsere Gäste und wir haben uns im Elb sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Personal hat uns die ganze Zeit das Gefühl gegeben Gäste zu sein, Sonderwünsche wurden sofort umgesetzt. Die Qualität des Essens war sehr gut. Wir können das Elb nur empfehlen und kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Wenn man den Weg durch den Park geschafft hat, gibts nettes Design, ruhige Zimmer und einen Parkplatz unter dem Haus. Zimmer toll, Essen auch. Für mich klar das beste Hotel in MD. Nett auch der indische Einschlag in der Restaurantkarte. Lecker…

Schnitzel mit 500g Spargel und Kartoffeln für 30€, wobei mit 6 dünnen Stangen (durchgekochten, lapprigen) Spargel die 500g stark angezweifelt werden. Die Katastrophe aber war das sog. Schnitzel: graues/dunkelgraues Fleisch (Pressfleisch??) umhüllt von großzügiger Panade; insgesamt geschmacklich = 0. Nie wieder!

War nun bereits 2 mal im Elb in Magdeburg. Vorher habe ich regelmässig in einem anderen Hotel eingecheckt und muss sagten, dass mich das Elb überzeugt hat. Die Mitarbeiter sind super freundlich und die Zimmer sind wunderschön. Das Essen inkl. dem Koch ist Spitze. Für Hundebesitzer ist die Lage ebenfalls perfekt, da es direkt im Stadtpark ist. Die Parkgarage ist für SUVs etwas eng, wenn sie gut belegt ist. Auch muss man sagen, dass es schade ist, dass die Balkons keine wirklichen Balkons sind, sondern eher nur ein enger Platz ist um sich an die frische Luft zu stellen. Auch gibt es dort keine Sitzmöglichkeiten und es laufen "fremde Leute" am Fenster vorbei, da dort keine Trennung zu anderen Zimmern herscht. Nichtsdestotrotz empfehle ich jedem einen Aufenthalt dort. Das dort Spinnen oder sonstiges draußen am Balkon sind, ist wohl auch selberverständlich, da es halt direkt an der Elbe ist.

Wir waren zum Geburtstagsessen mit der Familie da. Es war Barbecue-Abend (keine a la carte Bestellungen möglich), d.h. Vorspeisen gab es vom Buffet und gegrillt wurde draußen auf der Terrasse. Der Chef stand am Grill und geboten wurden verschiedene Fleisch- und Fischsorten. Auch die Zubereitung Entertainment pur und mit viel Leidenschaft. Wir haben selten so gut gegessen, alles war perfekt auf den Punkt frisch zubereitet mit indischer Note (tolle Gewürze und Soßen). Für jeden war etwas dabei. Der Service am Tisch war ebenfalls ausgezeichnet. Ein rundum gelungener Abend, der Preis damit auch gerechtfertigt. Besonderes Highlight war noch ein Geburtstagstorte, eine echte Überraschung. Wir kommen gern wieder.
