The best hotel we've had in terms of comfort, facilities, bed, bathroom, staff, breakfast.... modern and well-thought out. An enormous VERY comfortable bed, storage space, view, pool. Easy to find and great for exploring the area - Golden Triangle, caves, mountains... such a comfortable, luxurious room. Great value. Sad to leave! You cannot go wrong with this choice. A treat!

I spent the most amazing new year vacation in Chiang Rai. I stayed at Phufa Waree for 5 nights and got a well-deserved rest. The location of Phufa Waree is around 18 km. from Chiang Rai town. I know it's quite far but once you learn how to commute, it's really not a deal-breaker. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The room is big (I got a one-bedroom suite), the bathroom is also huge. The only thing that I would complain about is the sofa in the living room. It's built-in and it's not really that comfortable. The accommodation comes with a buffet breakfast, serve from 6:30 to 10 am. They have a Thai-style buffet spread and they serve different dishes every day. Outside the hotel, there's a nice restaurant called Tid Dao Tid Din. The food is also good and inexpensive. Getting to town is a bit tricky, taxis and even Grab car is very expensive so try to hail a small green bus, which comes every 15 or 20 minutes. The fare is around 18 Baht and it will take you straight to Chiang Rai town (the bus station is near the Night Bazaar). All in all, I would say I had a great stay at Phufa Waree.

Hotel in the countryside with easy access and a large parking. Composite room in small independent apartments. Thai style with a beautiful swimming pool and a fine room available. The rooms are simple and well equipped. The hotel is warm and the hotel is very clean. The wooden litter is perfect and the rooms are comfortable. The price quality ratio is excellent. A breakfast is available from 7:00 and the service is right.

The room that we booked was cleaned but unfortunate that the smell was not good, but Khun Ice receptionist was super helpful and move us to another room. We have impressed the service and concept of eco friendly of this hotel a lot. We can refill our water at the hallway. Unfortunate again the room and the hotel is not yet ready to accommodate due to most of the rooms and facilities still under renovation such as the swimming pool, gym, and rooms that not yet finished. We would love to stay here again once they are ready with full service.

We booked this place because of the impressive reviews online. However, I was a bit disappointed when we actually checked in. Below is my rundown. The Good: The food is healthy and delicious. The hotel's design is wood-themed which makes things interesting if you want to get in tune with nature/meditation and all that. I can tell the hotel invested heavily in quality of the building and furniture. The lower-level staff (cleaners, waitress, security, etc.) were superb as usual in Thailand. The Bad: Finding the hotel is confusing even when using Google Maps and it doesn't help that there is next to no signage to assist with locating the hotel. The managerial staff seemed aloof, distant, and apathetic - not what you expect at Thai standards. The room's aesthetics were great if you like wood but the room was NOT functional - examples abound but essentially, the design did NOT allow good and efficient organization and placement of your things. Summary: This place is great for a single traveler or couples with minimal luggage - not great for families with kids. We paid about $200 per night for our room and it was definitely NOT worth it at that price point, which is why this review leans toward the negative. In my view, the reviews online do NOT accurately review this hotel.

RRobert TWe stayed 2 nights at the resort in February. Arrived late and was greeted by Nuch, who was friendly and can communicate in English. The resort is a little remote, so unless you have a vehicle, be prepared to have all your meals there. I think it has 19 rooms altogether and is like a family run resort. Not crowded which is just what we were looking for. We ordered our dinner with Nuch at the reception desk upon checked in and proceeded to have our dinner at the restaurant. We had the restaurant all to ourselves that night. A young man Dom attended to us on our 3 days there from helping with food ordering, frying eggs, serving food, arranging transport, guiding us with tv setup etc. Nuch attended to all our request and even recommended us a tea plantation to visit, what nice cake to order etc. All the other staff are just as friendly but Nuch and Dom stand out for their excellent service and hospitality. The room we stayed is spacious and clean. This is a good place to be away to relax with family members. It is on elevated ground and you can have good view and be close to nature. And yes it has good speed wifi throughout the resort.

GGuest UserWe chose this resort based on its good reviews on the internet. Resort is located on the mountain, closeby the border market and tea plantation which are worth going to take a look. Hotel itself, I feel it needs a lot of work to renovate… spa is not relaxing experience. Toilet in the room smells quite bad from the vent. But what makes it up is the reception staff really pleasant. And helpful. Food is good and breakfast overlooking the mountain is very nice. Maybe what we have missed is also the heated pool just happened to be closed. I see its potential to be a 5 star resort with lovely Mountain View.

Because it is on Phahonyothin Road No. 1, heading to Mae Sai District, the school will be on the left, clearly purple and gray before reaching the sign of Ban San Kong, a little closer to Ban San Kong School. In walking distance Keep coming to the left, there are 7 eleven restaurants, municipality fresh market. There is a small swimming pool. In front of the lobby there is a small pool table. To play with the perfect management of the space, the front parking lot is fairly wide, the air-conditioned room works well, the back of the school is a view of the rice fields. The balcony has a steel barrier, 100% safe, cable TV, soft bed, pillows, blankets, very good, there is a hair dryer, good water flow, deep sleep, very good value. Who visits Doi Tung? Stay here is considered close. because the distance is only 15 km.
