The front desk service was very good, but the business was very bad. To the hotel, don't let early check in understand, the front desk asks for the price, go to the restaurant to buy breakfast, the price of the restaurant is not the same as the price given by the front desk. When I checked out, I wanted to use the hotel's car to go to the airport. I asked the front desk for a price. I thought it was a little more expensive than Ola. It was okay. I said that I had a good meal and ordered it. After I came back, I changed the front desk. The price has changed. It is more expensive than Ola. Doubled. Early Check In, the hotel began to strictly demand that you can not check in early, must be 2 pm, after communication, helplessly understand, then go out for lunch, come back to 12 noon, found that the hotel even gave another pair of white couple check in, but also provide A towel and welcome drink. I didn't have this at all when I checked in. The above shows that hotel management is very confusing. The security guards greeted each other with enthusiasm. Breakfast is not expensive, but meals are average. The room hardware is very good, the air conditioning is also very powerful, but the refrigerator is very old, very noisy in the general heritage of the manor. The hygienic situation only looks beautiful, and if the wooden floor is stepped on, it will soon be dark. There are also a few large flies flying in the room, hey, a little disgusting. We booked 3 luxury colonial rooms for one night on 20th April 2024. We were given 25,26 and 27. Shocked on the rooms conditions. Ambience and scenery were excellent but not worth the price for premium colonial rooms. View were good but I would rate 3+ for the rooms. Rooms were big but not fantastic. I have taken photos of our rooms. Bedsheets and pillows cannot match 5 star. Beside scenery, rooms were average. Madurai Heritage Hotel rooms were much better quality. I had stayed previously and the hotel rooms were renovated and quality bedcovers and bedsheets. I am a member with Taj. Need drastic improvements. Furnishings need refurbish and flooring need renovation.

I am staying here right now, after leaving Chennai and the Leela Palace. Huge difference which is expected. In Madurai, there are basically no other options, if you want consistency, a newish hotel, a well-known brand (again, consistency), and on-site dining options. That’s why we chose this hotel. The hotel common areas are impressive and beautiful. The staff is extremely helpful. They arranged a great tour with guide, for the Temple, which is a must! Ask for VJ! Rooms: They are very tired and pretty beaten up, probably because there are no real options here. They are simple, nice and the shower has great pressure. You’ll need that with the heat. Restaurant/Common Areas: pretty good. Excellent service. They will get you whatever you need. also very clean and spacious. Impressive lobby, as Courtyard in the US is definitely not like this! Location: traffic is everywhere in India. But this location is pretty ideal for the Temple. It’s a decent 40 min ride from the airport. It’s very secure with pool, and fun kind of random on site bar (where I am now) and delish drinks too. All in all, this Hotel is the only choice if you want consistent cleanliness with some luxury in Madurai. It’s also very reasonable.

We actually stayed in Heritage Madurai but werent happy with the food there. So one day, we visited GRT regency to have lunch and were bowled over with their quality and hospitality even though we didnt stay at their place. We loved the place so much that for the next 3 days, we visited GRT for lunch thereafters. They took care of our 10 year old son and mother who was a senior citizen Special mention to Jeyapandian, Govidrajan, Francis and Vishnu for their wonderful care and hospitatlity. Will never forget their timely help.

The ***ager of the restaurant was kind, but I ordered a local beer, but they brought an imported beer without explanation and drank it as if it were local. Of course, the fees are outrageous. -I hope the staff's order service will be as communicated with the customer. The overall service was good. I had an oil massage at the spa, but the masseuse's skills were too weak. I applied for a taxi at the information desk- I confirmed the fare to the temple and boarded it, but the taxi driver's toll fee from the price suggested by the hotel [This must be pre-set in the taxi fee]- The next day, another car went to a place without toll fees [Parking lot entrance fee and parking fee - this is You must inform the customer in advance and tell the taxi fare/ A special agreement with the taxi company associated with the hotel is required/
