Very Disappointing - Not a 4-Star Hotel Most of the staff were amazing, especially Kala Alagumuni at reception, who was always smiling and helpful. Unfortunately, my overall stay was ruined by poor service and maintenance. The biggest issue was with Selvam, the restaurant manager. When my kids were unwell and too sick to come down for breakfast, politely asked for 2 waffles, 2 toast, and an egg to be sent to the room. Instead of showing empathy, Selvam responded rudely and dismissively, saying loudly: "Why can't they come down? Ask them to come down and eat." This kind of arrogance is completely unacceptable in hospitality. The F&B Manager, Abu, showed no interest in correcting or supervising his staff, which reflects very poorly on management. On top of this, the room conditions were below standard: ripped curtains, broken sofa legs, floorboards coming loose, stained toilets, broken bed frames, and even rust on the bathroom amenities. Ihave photos and videos to prove it. While some staff like Kala were excellent, one rude manager and poor room maintenance completely destroyed my experience. For a property marketed as 4-star, this was shocking. My advice: avoid this hotel until management makes serious changes.

We are a family of four, including a child, who visited Madurai from August 22 to 24 and stayed at Poppy's Hotel in two premium rooms. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-equipped with all necessary amenities. The hotel offers 24/7 front desk support, a swimming pool, a restaurant, a bar, and a gym. It also provides parking and driver services. The breakfast menu includes a variety of options catering to Indian and regional cuisines. The staff were friendly and spoke both Tamil (the primary language of Tamil Nadu) and English, so we had no communication issues. Room service was available, and the prices were reasonable. The Madurai temple is a 20-minute drive away, and there are several good South Indian restaurants nearby.

I had a fantastic stay at Poppy Hotel in Madurai. From the moment I arrived, the service was exceptional. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive,Especially i have to mention mention kala G , Krishna and Nagaraj ensuring every need was met with a smile. The rooms were impeccably clean and well-maintained, offering a comfortable and relaxing environment.

I recently booked a room online directly through hotel portal. The cancellation policy said 'full refund/free cancellation till 72 hours of check-in'. I raised the cancellation request online approx. 100 hours before the check-in. I did speak to customer service and they had confirmed full amount would be refunded as written in the policy. Yet, in cancellation confirmation email, cancellation charge deduction was indicated, and the refund received into bank account showed the same. Sent follow-up email but no response. This hotel is not following its own policy. Not going to ever make any booking again. Its not about the money but loss of trust!!

Mr Nagendran Swimming Coach has good abilities and guided our family for swimming. His valuable inputs helped my girl child to learn swimming easily. He's friendly calm well mannered person. Swimming Pool clean and neat. He's maintaining the pool crystal clear. Good stay at Poppy's Hotel.
