Hotels near WiZink Center in Madrid

Good impression in general but we believe that for some details the 4 stars are somewhat loose. As positive points we highlight the location, the comfort of the beds and the treatment of the staff. Correct room size. What we did not like: some points in the rooms with some dust, a somewhat dirty courtesy jug to heat water, when we arrived to take a shower the hot water did not come out but we notified them and they solved it the next morning.

Rafaelhoteles Ventas is in a good location, close to the metro station (El Carmen). Hygiene is good, bed linen is changed daily. Breakfast is according to the ”buffet table” principle, but it is monotonous and with a small selection. The staff is friendly and accommodating.

Our stay at the Crown Plaza Madrid was pleasant. Staff is very friendly, rooms are well decorated and cozy. Bathrooms are spacious and clean.Tea and coffee is available at the room. The hotel is located 30 minutes walk from Gran Via, bus station and metro station is a two minutes walk so you can go to any place easily. I really enjoyed our stay at the hotel and would highly recommend

We stayed at the Ayre Gran Hotel Colon for one night recently. We arrived quite early not expecting the room to be ready but hoping to be allowed to change somewhere because we had a lunchtime reservation. The man on reception checked us in and gave us a room without an issue so we could settle in and get changed comfortably. He also gave us a map and was nice and friendly. The room was a good size, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was a good size. There were two small complimentary bottles of water in the mini bar. The window cannot be opened unless you ask at reception which I don't like. However it was a big window which made the room nice and light and airy. Breakfast was way too expensive at 20 euros or 16 if booked in advance. We got breakfast for two people for half that price outside the hotel. There is a nice looking bar at the hotel and I believe they do food too. I would stay there again but would look out for cheaper advance booking prices.

Excellent location. Méndez Álvaro station is three blocks away and the line that takes you to the airport stops right there. The only issue is the outlet type. Only European, so bring your own adaptors. The bathroom has no real door. You close the shower and the toilet is open. Other than that, the hotel is really good. They lend you a hairdryer for free, have hot water, and the staff were extremely kind and nice. I definitely recommend this place.

I have just come home from staying here for three days, my initial views were good for this hotel, I am afraid looking back I was wrong. The service I received was fine, but to be charged £340 for three nights which converts to £288, £95 a night I feel is outrageous and most definitely would not stay here again. I feel very annoyed with myself for agreeing to stay here for three nights. I have not been out of the UK for two years and eight months so this was very important to me. I had not booked in advance, just went to Alicante and thought I could find a hotel, it was very hot, I was feeling tired, I do not think I was thinking straight.😰but I do blame myself entirely. She said it was a special offer so I would have breakfast free, but I can assure you the breakfast was extremely mediocre, I did not choose to have breakfast on the last day, so getting it free and paying £95 a night is irrelevant. They did not have fresh milk, it was long life milk, The bread was stale, the sausages in the hot section look liked they came out of a can and cold, the scrambled egg was cold, the bacon in the hot plate was 99% fat and cold, all the juices they were serving were out of a packet and were very distasteful. I would rate this breakfast as a two-star hotel and indeed I would say probably one of the worst breakfasts I have had in a hotel in my lifetime. I have travelled the world and stayed in many hotels so I do have some experience, I would probably say this hotel is worth £60 pounds a night maximum, then one could accept what I received as acceptable, to charge £95 a night again I am going to say is very disappointing and outrageous. I also strongly recommend to anyone going to Alicante do not stay at this hotel for £95 a night, it is only worth about £60. Another point I would like to make the building noise outside over the three days was shocking, even with all the doors closed, the noise from the building noise and the bars across the road was horrendous and I paid £95 a night for this. Another very important point not out of the UK for two years and eight months, I am. 70 years old, have underlining health conditions and the staff working in the hotel could not even be courteous enough to put a face mask on or advise anyone to wear a face mask, I was the only one in the hotel with a face mask on, this is disgraceful and something they should not be proud of. I suppose if you are young and you do not have any health conditions you can just have this type of attitude. I felt exposed, frightened, and worried about catching Covid in this hotel. I have to say shame on you for putting me through this. I paid you £95 a night to make me feel like this. Spain went through a very difficult time during Covid, I also know it is not compulsory now to wear a mask, but you should be more professional and you should think about your vulnerable customers. The location is very good, just by the subway, there is a shopping mall El Corte Inglés next to it, there are Loewe and Tous at 100m, but there are not many things, and there are &otherstories and Serrano Street about 600m away. You can also walk all the way to Puerta del Sol for about 30 minutes. The service attitude is very good. Arrived at 11 o'clock in the morning, the younger brother checked the availability and checked in directly.

A nice hotel with many lovely features on each floor , shame about no coffee making facilities in room a huge disappointment as it’s the first thing we like when we wake up , only ate in hotel once food was terrible for a 5 star had to send my husband’s back and got a very cold response from waitress , put things on our table we didn’t ask for and expected us to pay €12 for a bit of bread it’s not how it should be , we were not willing to pay the full bill and the waitress was rude and if looks could kill , receptionist were helpful and sorted any issues out we had , please employ staff that know how to be with customers it stopped us eating there again at the very expensive cost.location was okay but not as central as we were lead to believe but still worth a visit just for the style . Please be warned the pool is ice cold as not heated and lots of the hotel was closed so we didn’t get to use most of it and that was disappointing as it was one of the reasons we booked with them.it wasn’t a cheap hotel we were a couple with our parents and expect coffee making facilities in our room at that cost. Please take that on board hotel owners .

Madrid location is average, rooms are small, parking is expensive

Good place to stay for short trips to Madrid, we will probably book again at the property in the future, perhaps with breakfast and late check out for a change. We loved the enviroment and atmosphere. Beds where confy, but if you have big luggage it may be an issue Lockers available as well.
