We travelled to Madrid to attend a Music concert at IFEMA. The Pullman hotel is an 8 minute taxi drive from the airport and 5 mins by tube which brings one within a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel is 5 mins walk from IFEMA thus all in all an incredibly suitable for hotel to attend any events at IFEMA. There are also several restaurants within 10-20 mins of the hotel if you don't want to go into city centre for a meal. I have read comments that the Pullman hotel is outdated, possibly yes if this was indeed a 5 * hotel, but honestly, since we did not pay anywhere near 5* hotel prices for our room (and i don't think any of the rooms are priced at 5* level) we didn't expect a swish hotel. However what we did get for our money was a hotel with a attractive upmarket like entrance, a comfortable room, which was clean and serviced daily. The air conditioner was a tad bit on the noisy side, but not such that we could not sleep at night. On the down side, just two things, there are no tea/coffee facilities in the room, and the restaurant was closed on the one evening that we were there. Otherwise we would definitely stay again in we were looking for a hotel close to the IFEMA.
This hotel was great. The room was huge and overlooked the airport. The pool and spa were a great time to relax for a couple of hours. The meals my girlfriend and I had were also really good. Would definitely recommend.
Good location for getting around by metro.
Good buffet breakfast, there is a cafeteria if you want to have something to eat.
Clean rooms and very comfortable beds.
The surrounding environment is very good and it is very close to the airport. There is a shuttle bus to the airport starting at 5 am. You need to confirm the time at the front desk one day in advance. Overall, it is very good and convenient. It is very suitable for travelers who need to take a flight at the airport the next morning.
The service. There is no staff available to support with baggage. Providing the baggage cart helps, however, expecting help from people to load baggage.
Transfer to the airport. Efficient service, however, the same problem. Nobody helps to get the baggage up to the bus that you take to the airport.
The bathroom is open in the bathroom that NOT prevents the water from leaving the bathroom, the floor is completely wet and risking swallowing****.
Very convenient and nice hotel. The free shuttle from and to the airport made it very easy. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Food is delicious. We ordered room service and had their breakfast buffet as well and everything was great. Will be back.
It's close to the airport, so it's convenient after an early flight, and the surrounding living functions are convenient. Restaurants and supermarkets are nearby.
They have wonderful service. The location is good for being near the airport but if you want to go anywhere touristy you have to hop on the metro for a few stops so not too bad. The shuttle to the airport was the best made it so easy to get to the airport for my early morning flight. (Pics are a few things I saw in Madrid)
The hotel is located on the subway floor (behind the escalators, you will see a facade with black and white stripes).
Try to get a room upstairs. The rooms on the ground floor are not very soundproof. So for those who get up late, you will probably be woken up by the hubbub of other travelers who will have come to prepare their breakfast in the area located in front of the rooms concerned.
And if I had to add another layer, I would say that you will feel slight tremors because of the subway journeys.
Finally, personally, I had a little noise problem that came from I don't know where, maybe from the air conditioning, it was like a long suction (it can be quite annoying in the long run but I turned a deaf ear since I was only passing through)
Otherwise, it is very clean, very spacious, the beds are comfortable and convenient location for transport. But for the price/quality ratio, we've seen better. :)
Reminder: read the instructions.
The place is very clean and the staff were all really friendly and helpful. They booked me a taxi to the airport at 3:00 am which was a flat rate of 20 Euros. It’s a bit pricy for being so close but when it’s that early the metro isn’t running. Taking the metro to the hotel ended up being 2.5 Euros but will be 7 just for 1 stop if you don’t have a transport card yet.
The hotel walls are a bit thin so if you’re a light sleeper maybe request a higher floor. Overall it was great and I’d stay there again.
