Caballero Errante

The receptionist is really friendly, kind and supportive. He can speak well both English and Spanish, there's no problem about communication. The room is clean and well-prepared. It's located quite near center, takes around 10mins by metro and there are many supermarkets around.

This hotel provided 24 hr reception - that is there was a person at a desk. This was re-assuring because I was concerned with access given that I had arrived after midnight at the Chamardin train. The location was an easy walking distance however also inexpensive by Uber. The reception was very friendly and provided me with an extra blanket, as requested. She also took the time to come up to my room to show how to operate the thermostat to increase the heat in the room. The hotel room has a blend of traditional wood finish with a modern bathroom. The room is basic. Very clean place There is also an elevator- handy when you a tired pilgrim.

I booked a room at Caballero Errante last minute for a work trip because it was just a short cab ride to the office. That’s about where the convenience ended. The check-in guy spoke very little English, and the room was a 'smoking room'. Trying to explain that opening the windows wouldn't magically freshen up the cigarette-infused pillows was like trying to explain quantum physics to a cat. There was no other room available at the check in time, so there I was stranded until after the work dinner to be able to check into the room. The room I got looked nothing like the rooms in the pictures. If you’re expecting thrills, look elsewhere. This place is as basic as a plain slice of bread, and calling it a 2-star hotel might be pushing it. Oh, and the vending machine by the entrance? It had some, let's say, "unexpected" items in it, like handcuffs... maybe the "Wandering Knight" (Caballero Errante) is after something else than a good nigth of sleep.

The receptionist was very friendly, everything looks great, clean and tidy, I went with my husband and we really enjoyed it. We were so happy to stay in Caballero hotel, it was a great time, I hope you can enjoy like we did. It was my first time in Madrid
