The Sol Los Angeles hostel is super well located (3 min walk from Plaza del Sol). You have everything and it's very close, restaurants, pharmacies, shops...
The only drawback is that being in the centre of Madrid and in a neighbourhood with a lot of people until late at night you can hear a bit of street noise.
I recommend it for its location and price.

I would give it NO stars if possible. Terrible old hotel, walls, floors and bathroom were dirty. The furniture was something out of a thrift store, scratched up, dirty and unmatched. The bed was very uncomfortable and the room extremely noisy at all hours of day and night. About the only good was the location close to Puerta del Sol and all central Madrid attaractions.

Hotel located in the central area, in a street full of clubs and restaurants. The rooms are on the 4th floor (but there is a lift) while the reception is shared with the Marlasca hotel and is available 24 hours a day. We stayed in a triple room, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom was small but functional, the cleanliness was not excellent but nevertheless satisfactory. Obviously, given the location, at night you can hear voices coming from the street but nothing that a pair of earplugs can't resolve. Outside the room there is a very nice hallway with armchairs and a machine for drinks and water.

Located on Calle de la Cruz, a very bustling area, full of restaurants, with some kebab shops that stay open until 6 or 7 in the morning, it occupies a block of buildings shared with other hostels. Specifically, this hostel is located on the fourth floor, although check-in and check-out must be done on the second floor. We occupied a double room for three nights on a room-only basis, for a total price of €242. As for the room, it has air conditioning, although the power is very low, wifi, which worked at times well, at times average, desk, hair dryer (it was an ornament, it did not work), safe deposit box (50 cents) and a sufficient number of plugs. The bathroom was small but not bad and in the hall there was a soft drink machine with water and a couple of soft drinks for €1 and Coca-Cola for €2. Cleaning, regular. When we returned on the second day of our stay, they had just cleaned the room and left the door open, and the next day they didn't show up until 3pm. The receptionists, very friendly. Between acceptable and fair; Without a doubt, the best thing is its location, right in the center, 3 minutes walk from Puerta del Sol.
