THC Tirso Molina Hostel Reviews

This is in an excellent location about 3 mins walk from Metro. Situation on a quietish laneway that still has a nice flow of people through it to give you the big city feel. It's a small pensione type hotel (no lift for those who need on) with only half a dozen rooms each floor, meaning there isn't a lot of internal noise. Reception was always super friendly and very helpful. Rooms are smallish but still of a good size, the bed is firm and comfy, and while there is limited hanging/storage it was definitely enough for one person or two with not too much luggage. The bathroom was of ample size and well set up with good water pressure. A small juliet balcony give you a nice outlook onto the street with double closing doors to help keep the room really quiet from outside noise. On the downside but not unusual for smaller hotels in Spain, there is no safe or fridge and only spanish TV but extras are avaialble (for free) on request - eg kettle, small desk for room, iron etc It seems good value for money compared to Barcelona and Valenica. Would definitely stay again.

You will thoroughly enjoy *Gala* the lovely woman at the front desk. She is amazing!!! Professional, so very sweet, polite, friendly. So willing to share information regarding the local area and her recommendations. Daily maid service at a hostel, not very common. Reasonable pricing for such a centrally located lodging. Do know that the rooms are quite small, though they are very clean. Be advised… there is NO elevator…. How much time do you plan on spending in your room while in Madrid? Cheers Sas.

We had a nice stay at Tirso Molina Hostel. Pros is that it is centrally located and we walked everywhere. It is close to grocery stores and subway. The owner Gala is so sweet and nice, she helped us carry our luggage up and down the stairs, since our room was in the 3rd floor and there is no elevator. Without her help, we would not have been able to lug our luggage 3 floors up! We also did store the luggage there for the last day in Madrid. They do keep your passport etc at the front desk for safekeeping if needed. We did use that daily. Gala also gave us restaurant suggestions and sightseeing suggestions. She booked cab for us, to Atocha too. Very nice front desk experience - the man at the front desk was very helpful too. The front desk is 24/7 which is a big plus. Other than some talking in the corridor, we did not hear any much noise from other guests or other rooms, which was very good. The cons are that, we could hear people on the streets till early morning daily - there was a lot of street noise which we could hear even on the 3rd floor. But we were so exhausted after our daily sightseeing that we fell back asleep immediately, after being woken up multiple times at night due to the noise. The bathroom is very tiny and not much place to keep your clothes, but it was a very clean bathroom and the water was piping hot in the shower, which was great! Basic room, not too big. It did have a small open cupboard to put your hand luggage though. But that was enough for our stay, we only used the room to sleep at night and were out the whole day anyways. Overall a good stay at Tirso Molina!

¿Necesitas estar unos dias en Madrid? Si no eres pretencioso y tienes mente practica, este es tu hotel. Ventajas: Está en el centro (Tirso de Molina, Lavapies), tiene lo justo (ni le falta ni le sobra nada), los empleados son amabilísimos, silencioso, limpio, buena cama y decorado con cierto gusto. En contra: no tiene ascensor (desgraciadamente un problema para gente con dificultades físicas) y sinceramente no se me ocurre nada más en contra. Muy recomendable.

Un hotel muy cómodo y con un servicio excelente. Son muy amables y siempre están atentos a tus peticiones. Muy bien ubicado cerca de la Plaza Mayor y de la Puerta del Sol. Totalmente recomendable para visitar Madrid.

Ubicación excelente justo al lado de pl. Y estación de metro de Tirso. Atención magnífica del personal. No es un hotel de los modernos. Pero es muy cómodo. Si viajas con destino a estación de Chamartín. La línea 1 de metro te deja a un minuto del hotel.

Nos alojamos dos noches en segunda planta en el THC Tirso de Molina. Muy bien ubicado a solo una cuadra de la Pza Tirso de Molina y cerca de toda la movida de La Latina y Lavapiés. Sin embargo no está en una zona bulliciosa en la noche. Por el día muy buena oferta de negocios y servicios. La habitación fue cómoda, no pequeña, el baño también cómodo. Buena conexión WIFI y TV. El aire acondicionado es realmente eficiente para los días calurosos. Pequeño balcón a la calle en todas las habitaciones. No tiene ascensor. El personal: Gala y Miguel muy bien dispuestos y atentos a prestar ayuda siempre.

Non ci siamo! Do 3 stelle per la posizione in quanto è vicino a quasi tutto ma per il resto camera molto piccola pessima insonorizzazione, assenza TOTALE della pulizia della camera neanche il cambio asciugamani!!! Camera piccolissima che ci si può adattare ma i mille rumori della notte e neanche rifare il letto no!!

Tv. Sdb privative. Balcon étroit mais qui est là. Très bon accueil bon lit et un personnel très agréable. La situation idéale nous a permis de faire notre visite à pied. Pas de service de petit déjeuner mais il y a plein de café dans la rue. Le quartier qui est piéton est l'un des plus agréables de la ville et les stations de métro sont proches également. Très satisfaits de notre choix
