Pool was out of order, not usable,
Very disappointed.
Hot water system in the shower is sometimes very hot, and in 5 seconds turns cold.
Please make sure this is fixed before some guests are boiled.

The room is too small. The bathroom is OK, but the water heater doesn't work well. It's hot and cold at the same time.
Facilities: Not bad. Good location. Convenient to everywhere. The staff are very enthusiastic. Good and delicious breakfast

As a Bonvoy member , it was once ow choices in Madrid hotel and I would love to come back if I would stay in Madrid , across pique retiro and Museo del prado walking distance , also near to gran via and plaza del sol, this hotel is located quiet and nice Zorilla street, Reception is classic butler style staff, and I really appreciate David for all smile, kindness , attentiveness , problem solving and professionalism . Room was spacious with heavenly bed, clean , breakfast buffet was reasonable priced, it's unique style as buffet but they bring food ; like partially all you can eat). Their amenity is Guelain , very good quality , really mixed with classic European style and modern taste , Vera was also great to help as a staff . Thanks for nice stay !!!!

Daniel and Jacobo provided us excellent service at the front desk. Simply superior service. Bravo to them, and also to Antonio who also helped us greatly. Hotel is in amazing location in Madrid, rooms are very quiet, very comfortable, overall just an outstanding stay. Highly recommend El Autor Autograph Collection hotel.

Beyond amazing hotel. Excellent location on a quiet street and close to many restaurants, museums, parks and retail stores. From the bell man to the front desk, the service was impeccable. Room was large and very luxurious. Amazing boutique hotel and would definitely stay there again.

Clean, comfortable, rooms with a great king size bed. The location is very quite because it is in a restricted area (next to the congress building) and centrally located for walking to Madrid Center. Many very good restaurants in this area. The breakfast was unimpressive compared to other Autograph Hotels we have stayed at.

This hotel gets ALL the stars for sure! It was our first time traveling to Europe as a family (kids aged 12 - 22) and this hotel started it off perfectly - made us feel so comfortable from the moment we pulled up in our taxi. Claudo (sp?) was there to greet us and helped us get acquainted and introduced us to the wonderful front-desk associate (can't remember his name, but he was incredible....everyone was!) We had the family suite and had more than enough room. Perfect place to unwind at the end of our busy days of exploring and sightseeing. We were so close to everything - the palace, shopping area, park, cozy street with all the tapas restaurants - only had to take a cab to and from the train station. The beds were luxurious, comfortable and pristine. Even the bath towels felt luxurious. They really did pay attention to every detail and it shows! Would HIGHLY recommend!

El Autor Madrid is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Location is perfect, in the center of the city, on a quiet street, in the proximity of Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum, and steps away from Prado; it is also close by Plaza del Sol. The hotel interior benefits of a great design, rooms are spacious, linens are impeccably clean and ironed, the mattress is excellent and so are the feather pillows. The bathroom is luxurious with excellent toiletries. One feels as living in a luxurious private residence. The staff is friendly and courteous, both at check in, and at breakfast. They are helpful, extremely and genuinely nice.

We stayed here a few nights, beginning of February. Chosen this hotel mainly because of the central location and we did the right choice. The hotel is brand new, it's a part of Marriott, but it is more of a deluxe small boutique property. We had a deluxe room (no view) very quiet. The room ticked all the boxes-the size, topnotch bed, amenities, bathroom. I dare say we had the best night sleep ever. Cosy breakfast restaurant with good options. After few days we saw familiar faces of the staff, which is great as it felt like a steady team, all very accommodating. Not for the fussy customer who would expect the atmosphere of the Four Seasons, but more for the ones who quietly enjoy good things in life. Would go back in a heartbeat.
