Hotel Ideal

We stayed for the second time with the whole family at the Ideal hotel in the second week of January and the availability of the owners was immediate right from the booking stage, trying to satisfy our growing requests up to 7 rooms. The main distinctive elements are in the cordiality, kindness and hospitality of the whole family and of all the staff, who have always shown themselves available to satisfy our every request. The structure is well cared for with particular attention to continuous cleaning. The rooms are much larger than average (and space in the mountains never hurts) and furnished in an Alpine style although not recently renovated. Very comfortable beds and pillows for all tastes. Some have a roof with exposed beams and almost all have a small balcony. The cuisine is typical of Trentino but the choice on the menu is vast to satisfy all tastes and even celiacs (!). Already from the breakfast you can immediately understand the quality of the offer! The structure is equipped with a welcoming and well-structured wellness center, including everything (swimming pool, hydro, gym, sauna, Turkish bath, relaxation, path ...) which also offers excellent services. Furthermore, the space for storing the equipment is well arranged and the shuttle service is hyper efficient and fast. The location of the structure is convenient both for those who ski (a few steps from the spinal cord) and for those who want to go for walks. The ideal hotel is ideal for those who want to feel at home while on vacation enjoying the simplicity and friendliness of the staff.

The Hotel Ideal is in an excellent position not far from the town centre. The rooms are well cared for, just warm and very quiet. A welcome strong point is the cleanliness in every room. The common areas are spacious and comfortable and the ski area is useful with individual lockers per room. The owners (the hotel is family-run) are a little chilly at first but later relax and make themselves available for any needs. The cuisine, although simple, is of good quality, with a sufficient choice of dishes and a good breakfast buffet. The shuttle service to and from the lifts was excellent, enhanced by the calm and kindness of the young man in charge of the service. Less positive was the experience with the dining room staff who, although helpful, revealed a certain lack of professionalism or experience: cutlery was often missing from the equipment, sugar was never present in the morning for breakfast, as was the oil and vinegar at dinner, the dishes in broth were brought to the table in such a precarious balance that we had to take them from the hands of the waiter, just as sometimes they did not remember what was ordered for dessert and we had to ask for it. It should be noted that natural water was available only on order in bottles without providing for a jug of water from the aqueduct which is normally good in the mountains. In the en-suite bathroom the supply of soap is a bit poor. on the first day there was even no hand soap and the shower gel consisted of only two small vials which we were advised to buy a nice bottle of shower gel at the local supermarket. Overall we had a good and relaxed stay but the value for money suffers from the above. In other ski areas in the Dolomites this facility would be graded 3 ☆.

The hotel is a 5-minute comfortable stroll from the center of Campiglio. There are many advantages, starting from the spaces in the rooms, passing through the good quality of the products at the table (an extra eye for the presentation of the buffet) and the excellent shuttle service to the lifts (the really courteous driver/barman/handyman is able). Cleaning is also good and the spa with swimming pool is pleasant and well done. All the hotel staff is generally very attentive and precise even if a few more smiles especially from the owner would not hurt ... A few small flaws here and there ... the whole hotel needs a bit of restyling ... we are stuck in the 80s for the furnishings and a touch of new would really suit us. To review some times. Although family-run, the bar and the resulting gathering space cannot close at 11pm. Furthermore, and this must absolutely be fixed, in a hotel where there are skiers breakfast cannot start at 8am but absolutely at 7.30am. At 8.30 the lifts open!!! In any case, if you leave aside the form, there is substance and the value for money is more than good.

We liked everything about the hotel. Very nice welcome, quick check-in, help with unpacking everything very efficiently, so that after a long journey we could quickly start resting. The rooms are quite large, practically furnished, clean. Comfortable ski room. The hotel's ski bus takes you straight to the lifts - a revelation. Breakfast meals and especially dinners are very tasty - good Italian cuisine. The location of the hotel is practically in the center. All this makes the stay in this hotel really enjoyable. I recommend.
