Just felt like home , I went for a break away from the city , beautiful scenery and plenty of places to visit. I will definitely stay longer next time. Peter and Al were so welcoming and the apartment we stayed in was just perfect for us, parking available which is always a bonus.

Lovely remote property in marvellous countryside Host was very friendly and welcoming on our arrival Parking was a bit tricky but that’s a minor point Good sized bedroom and very comfortable double bed Quiet and peaceful didn’t hear any other residents during our stay

What a wonderful gem we found! It was such a pleasant stay in a comfortable room with good amenities - they even fit me in for an emergency haircut! We traveled with our older doggy who was greeted with a warm welcome. The Continental breakfast was lovely and just was we needed. Peter was attentive and served us with a smile, what's more he has a seriously impressive organ! We will definitely be back for our next stay in Derby. No more soulless chain hotels for us. 5 stars all round.

We arrived at the Farmhouse and it was in a delightful setting. We received from Peter a very warm welcome which went into a tour of his home. It was beautifully decorated and each room had a full bathroom next door. The fridge was stocked with water and milk for tea/coffee and a chest with a variety of drinks. The room was comforable and the bed was too. We had the best nights sleep for our 4 night stay and have booked for next year. Thank you Peter

The amber suite is one of the most comfortable & spacious places I have stayed in recent years. The bed is inviting, the lounge is cosy. The owners are polite & always happy to help. The morning views of the countryside make waking up here an absolute treat

Room was spacious and the bed comfortable. Exclusive use Bathroom was separate instead of ensuite. A little chilly in morning. Full aroma of nextdoor farmyard. Attentive and helpful Host. Sky TV available. Lovely views across farmland.

We loved staying here. Peter was the perfect host, very flexible with check-in and check-out. Always there for a nice chat or in case of any questions. We stayed in the Amber suite, which was wonderful. Great bed and fantastic shower. Location is good, close to Derby, but no noice from the road at all. Lovely surroundings and good restaurants in the area. Would definitely recommend.

Last minute booking but what a find! Peter and Al went out of their way to make me welcome. The room was clean, spacious and the bed most comfortable. I had the best night’s sleep away from home. For me, this was ideal. So ideal that I will be booking again soon. Many thanks!
