I was very skeptical at first because of all the reviews that were online, i must say i was very glad that I gave it a chance. It was the best weekend in Mackinaw by far that I’ve had in a long time I will definitely be staying there again.

The most expensive hotel (and the only one to charge us in full at the time of booking) we stayed at on our way to and from Mackinac Island. Convenient to down town Mackinaw City, the bridge, the Mackinaw light house and of course the ferry to Mackinac Island. Sheplers parking is across the street from the hotel or if you’d like more secure parking, it’s a mere block away. I guess what I’m saying is that the Baymont is in a convenient location. Clean comfortable rooms with plenty of staff to check you in assist or help you get situated or check you out the entire overnight stay was. A more of a hotel feel that the place I had stayed down route 75. Breakfast was a step above the typical hotel free breakfast still not luxury but waffles on a paper plate was OK for today. The updated common areas of the hotel along with its tasteful all be it utilitarian rooms isn’t the reason that the Baymont can charge at lest a hundred a night more than its competitor down the road, it’s the location, surely. I felt glad to have selected the Baymont and would return if I found myself in the area.
