City of Dreams - Morpheus Macau

The decor is quite nice. However, the windows didn't seem to be very well sealed, making the room feel quite damp when it rained. On the other hand, the breakfast buffet is definitely a must-try; it's excellent!

The facilities were quite disappointing. On the first day, the shower drain was blocked, causing water to overflow everywhere. It was late, so I just used the bath mat to soak it up myself. The next day, I specifically called the front desk, and they left a message confirming it was resolved. Yet, it clogged again the following day, forcing me to stop showering halfway to call them. Additionally, the room phone had a loose connection, making it difficult to dial out. Even after requesting an air purifier, my throat still felt quite irritated. At check-in, I specifically requested not to be given a room at the end of the corridor, yet they assigned me the very first room. Two staff members then came up to show me how to operate the curtains... However, the housekeeping attendant was excellent – very patient and promptly responded to all my requests. The location is indeed quite out of the way. During peak hours, taxis were scarce, while it was much easier to hail one from The Londoner at the same time. If you're traveling with minors, I wouldn't recommend staying here; if you can't cut through [redacted], you'll have to walk a considerable distance. I'm unsure how people manage to explore Macau in a single day; for me, returning from The Venetian felt incredibly far, and even The Londoner was quite a trek. I was so exhausted I wanted to take a taxi even to Wynn. The cleanliness was generally acceptable. I didn't experience any allergic reactions while sleeping, and overall, the room was quite clean. However, I suspect my irritated throat was likely related to the carpet.

The room's design, layout, and views were all excellent. We also caught The House of Dancing Water's 8 PM show. City of Dreams is definitely worth exploring, and it's super convenient with Grand Hyatt, The Londoner, MGM, and Wynn all being just a stone's throw away. Cekay at the front desk was fantastic!

The ambiance is excellent, facilities are new, and the experience was top-notch. Both the international welcoming staff and room service were great. What's particularly noteworthy is how quiet it is compared to other hotels in Macau, making it perfectly suited for business trips. The complimentary minibar snacks and drinks are a thoughtful touch, free and replenished daily – a definite highlight!
