Relatively trendy and simple decoration, the facilities feel simple, the room is large, but the quilt is very thin, and the kettle is not clean. So the experience was not satisfactory.

Relaxing stay in a stylish renovated factory hall, it seems. Original concrete skeleton intact and an impressive piping above your head. Looking out from one side of the building to the other from one place. Trendy and hip layout. Spacious workplaces downstairs among a young student population where you quickly feel welcome. Rooftop bar with great views of the surroundings, nature and the city. Enough choice of healthy food and an extensive breakfast buffet in the morning. In short, an absolute must for a reasonable price.

My husband And I last week visited here it was an expensive hard lesson we did learn at The Social huB maastrict where all kinds and everyone are supposed to be trying to come together and enjoy live and learn.. Sadly its not We were treated at first very nice IN the beginning and through out our 10 day stay 2000 euros later--' through mid stay we were getting ganged up by the team and they were making it very difficult to be comfortable. Young Ladys a few of them very snooty. SOME ARE JUST GEMS ..but the bad batch ruin the entire batch like your produce in your refrigerator..AND drama galore..hanging up phones terrorizing us for taking photos.tirbibg off your washing machine so they can get a thrill of watching you on camera getting upset back and forth.. Games..geez its really not all that .there..tbh.oh excuse me for wearing a classy dress and enjoying being a woman...they can't begin to know how it is to just be yourself they are at the age that they care about what people think and think in groups for self safety reasons.. almost like a terrorizing social sorority group of tyrants but not all them let's MAKE THAT CLEAR...I LIKED 3 PEOPLE OUT OF 30..Managers are definitely great at mediating and trying to understand...there's always a few that can make it cordial.. Please be cautious staying here please if your not between 16 -24 these students kids remember not her fir the long haul get a paycheck and invest in  their chosen  career..you can tell who's there that cares and not..  VERY immature sense of minded individuals should be running a video game shop. NOT trying to be a trend setter in diversity in every aspect of BEINGS.. But overall it was a 5 out of 10..Facility it is great amazing amenities ..rooms are like prison dormish like..but decorative in a creative economic al way.. free laundry git to live that. SOME great smiles and great attitudes too ill give them that...In time this can be awesome maybe they should a elite social hub..for an upgrade..maybe this could be the training of something eben bigger just my thoughts.. Good luck everyone ...put your hard hat on if you stay here..its a ride and a half. S.W.A.T.

Service like in the former Soviet Union! Horror! Elevator has broken alarm buttons! Dangerous! Cutlery at breakfast uncleaned . Nasty! But hey! we’re so damn cool, aren’t we? Not a good option in Maastricht and the offer not even a bargain.
Response from Property: Hi there, Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts about your stay with us. We're sorry to hear that some aspects of your stay didn't meet your expectations. Regarding the elevator, we appreciate your concern and will definitely look into the issue with the buttons to ensure the safety of our guests. To set the record straight the broken button is not for the alarm. As for the cleanliness and our service, we take it very seriously and will address your feedback with our team to make improvements. We understand that our hotel might not be everyone's cup of tea, but we strive to provide a welcoming and unique atmosphere for all our guests. We hope you had a chance to enjoy our convenient location and the variety of amenities we offer, like our gym and rooftop bar. We hope to welcome you back in Maastricht. Such a great place to stay! A little on the pricey side, but I booked it due to the limited options present in Maas. I appreciated the spacious room and bathroom. Bed was comfy. Room was decorated well. Loved that there was a coffee maker provided. Lots of co-working and social spaces present although I did not end up using them. Great that there was a gym and laundry room available for use. Location was decent considering how tiny Maas is. It was a easy walk to the city center and even the train station. Only downside was the inability to control the thermostat in the room. Coming from a tropical climate, the winter nights were a bit too chilly for me.
Response from Property: Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your opinion of your recent stay at our hotel. We're thrilled to hear that you enjoyed our spacious rooms, comfy beds, and coffee maker! Our location is indeed perfect for exploring the city, and we're glad you found it convenient. Sorry to hear that you had trouble with the thermostat in your room. Our Air Purification System is designed to keep the room temperature 3 degrees less than the external temperature, and you can always ask our 24/7 reception or technical department for assistance with the climate control. We hope this helps for your next stay! We hope to welcome you back. Best wishes, Patrique Bulté, General Manager

My wife and I have been visiting Maastricht on an yearly basis for some 13 years now. We had always stayed at the same apartment however this year it was not available. Family members suggested that we try The Social Hub. Truth be told I was hesitant at first because it was my perception that this hotel was geared more to university aged students and so we could expect a lot of noise. Well, I am happy to say that we enjoyed our stay at The Social Hub very much. Yes the hotel was run by staff who appeared to be no older than 30 years of age and most of the guests also were young but our worries as to noise were unfounded. The hotel is situated in a former factory in a historic area of Maastricht. It has that industrial look and feel with high ceilings and large open spaces. Our room had a kitchenette and was of ample size. The room featured a very large window with a view that faced the street. The hotel has everything one needs under one roof including a cafe, a rooftop bar and a laundry room with dryers at no extra charge for their use. Behind the hotel in the same building is an organic grocery store that we made frequent use of. The staff of the hotel was very friendly and accommodating. A huge bonus for us was the hotel's vicinity to bus stops. Yes public transport is great in Maastricht but the bus stops can and are far apart from one another. In this case the bus stop is about 100 yards from the hotel. In closing , we my wife and I would not hesitate to stay at The Social Hub when we return to Maastricht next year and highly recommend it to anyone needing a room while in Maastricht.
Response from Property: Hi Harry, Thank you for sharing such a kind review. It's awesome to hear that our industrial design, friendly staff, and convenient amenities like the café, rooftop bar, and laundry room added to your stay. We're also glad that you appreciated our location near the bus stop and the organic grocery store. We always strive to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests of all ages, and we're happy that your concerns about noise were unfounded. The entire team look forward to welcoming you back on a future visit. Kind regards, Patrique Bulté, General Manager

I stayed 1-night in April. It was inexpensive and the largest room on my trip, but it does feel like a dorm room. It’s good if you don’t mind basically being in a dorm room for the night - sharing the elevators and common spaces and hallways with students. There’s a cool bar on the top level with great views of the city. Also, the parking lot was very convenient. In walking distance to everything. This was a win for me but I could see that it wouldn’t work for everyone.
Response from Property: Dear Ivan, Thank you for your review. We're glad to hear that you appreciated the size of the room, the convenient parking, and our rooftop bar with its amazing city views. Moreover, our unique concept combines hotel and student accommodations, creating a vibrant and diverse atmosphere. We understand that it might not be everyone's cup of tea, but we're happy it worked for you! We look forward to the pleasure of seeing you again in the future. The hotel was comfortable and with the deluxe room spacious enough during our 6 night stay. The highlight of the hotel are the young people who work in the hotel and breakbeats room. They were very helpful with helping with arranging dinner reservations and nothing else you needed. The locations is also great, within walking distance on restaurants, shops and other attractions. A great place to stay and explore Maastricht

It's also great to know you found our location to be ideal for dining out and visiting the many nearby attractions. We booked this hotel mostly because the organizer for the hotel package intended for attendees to the André Rieu Concert uses this as one of its 2 hotel choices. Since most of the reviews noted that its rooms were small , we elected to take the studio at over $300 a night for the 2 nights we would be staying for the concert. For that kind of money, one would expect a place with some luxury. Yet it is exactly what its name indicates- a place for students. We also expected the place to be closer to the plaza where the concert is held yet this is actually farther away than many others requiring >15 minutes to walk there. Our studio is well equipped with a cooktop, a microwave, a sink, coffee pots, and a small fridge but there is not a single kitchen utensil. We are provided with 2 paper cups. The shower setup is bizarre because it has no walls- most of the bathroom floor will be wet after a shower where there’s a squeegee-like broom to help you sweep off the water. I think outside of event days, this place , at < 1/3 of the concert price can be a good value. It’s quiet and free of frills. If you want to reminisce over your college dorm experience, you will not be disappointed. On this occasion, we are certainly way overcharged for the experience. ,

Compared to the Student Hotel in Vienna, in Maastricht the rooms are not soundproof, therefore during the night you can hear noise from other rooms or the street. Apart from that, the room is spacious, and the furniture and interior design of the hotel are very characteristic; the location is perfect, it is about 10 minutes on foot from the city centre; breakfast is also very good. During my stay I lost a towel, which was taken by mistake by the housekeepers. However, Maris, a Dutch guy at the reception was extremely helpful and patient to help me look for it, and after half an hour he managed to find it. He's really an asset for The Student Hotel, so please thank him again from me.

I stayed here with my son of 14 years old for some cycling (racebike) and visiting the city. This was an excellent hotel with a very nice and relaxed atmosphere and people. After cycling I could use the student washing machines and the bikes were safely stored away. The room is neat and clean. The hote contains many nice things like a meter to measure the water usage in the shower to nudge you in a friendly way to consider the environmental impact. And also all sort of interesting things like a huge hour glasses in your room and just the whole industrial style. For the evening there is a nice rooftopbar for a drink. Because of the many students it’s just a much better feel than regular hotels. Will certainly visit The Student Hotels in other cities.
