I have a great impression of Hotel Vaubecour. After having a last minute change of plans, I unfortunately had to cancel my reservation but the reception team were very helpful in assisting me (following an initial technical error). Amber and Erica and the reset of the team - thank you for your help and I will be sure to choose this hotel next time I find myself in Lyon.

Stayed 2 nights midweek in April 25. In a very nicely renovated old building in the Panache area; 10 mins walk to metro and tram stops and close to lots of eating and shopping options. Hotel is on the 2nd floor, through a quaint corridor and up a tiny lift. Room small by 'chain hotel' standards, but more than adequate, with good storage. Quiet clean, well equipped, comfy and beautifully decorated. Very nice modern bathroom. Fantastic staff. You can get a very generous breakfast at a bargain 11 euros. Rated at 2*, but I would give it 3 1/2.

Clean, friendly, super location✔️👌👍 This hotel was small, friendly and spotlessly clean. Very well located for the Old Town, the river banks, restaurants, Perrache station and Ampere Metro. It was ideally located for exploring Lyon, a beautiful, underrated city, in my view. Beautiful, fresh french bread, cheese, jams etc for breakfast+ delicious croissants. Perfect for a weekend of exploring and chilling out. Very happy with a reasonably priced hotel that had all the basics covered. Recommend! Plus Abel Comptoir restaurant =next door. Booking required. Well worth it.

Very nice little hotel with a very welcoming staff. The only downside is if you book a room with a single twin bed, you may get the room I got. Its door was facing the reception, so there was noise that was annoying in the morning and late at night. Probably only an issue for the room I had, so maybe request a room away from the reception if you are a light sleeper

Stayed here for four nights, had a really enjoyable stay. The rooms and the hotel are small however this adds to the nice aesthetic of the place. Breakfast is good, and the pastries and bread are very fresh. My only criticism is the pillows are too hard but that's just my personal preference. All of the staff were friendly and attentive, would recommend staying here.

Great stay, confusing entrance Amazing location, friendly service. Room was small but tidy and good enough for me. You get a fob to come in and out the time you want but the check in was confusing to me, I was expecting a reception but there was only a door and a intercom, and then another door, you have to call twice so they can let you in. The hotel is on the 2nd floor, so it’s confusing if you don’t know that. If they sent check-in instructions by email prior, I’ve never received it.

The room was very small and not like the picture. It was also located right at the entrance. You can hear everyone coming in and out of the hotel all night, it was a bad experience.
