Spacious and comfortable accommodation. We appreciated the balcony, the kettle and the location very close to my daughter's house.

It was an easy location to take the tram and the streets were clean, but it was a little scary because there were people sleeping on both sides of the road under the bridge you had to pass.
I was assigned to the second floor, but like a semi-basement, it was difficult to open the window because the grassy ground came out. Other than that, there was no inconvenience in staying there!

This property is shabby, cramped and grubby. The photos are NOT a good representation of the room you will actually get. Our room was small, the mattress was banana shaped, up at the sides and down in the middle and it was too large for the base it had been placed on. The pillows were badly worn out and needed to be replaced, there were really nasty stains in both the toilet and the shower where they had not been cleaned properly for a long time. The kitchen crockery was mismatched, with odd numbers of plates, glasses etc. All in all, it was not suitable for rental. It seriously needs renovated and some strong management. In contrast, we booked into Odalys in Toulouse half an hour ago and it is a total contrast, clean, very well fitted, spacious accommodation. Just avoid the one in Lyon!

One night the access card to the room did not work, instead of repairing it they wanted us to go to another room to sleep, leaving all our things inside (chargers, pajamas, medicines...). We said no way, and we spent more than an hour at reception to gain access, in the end it was only necessary to remove the protection from the door to be able to use a key to open. But the night staff had no idea how to solve it. On the part of the accommodation there was not even an apology after staying from 11:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. without being able to enter the room already paid for.

This is the worst hotel we've ever stayed in. The reception is unprofessional and vulgar. The room is like a cave. The furniture is disgusting. The phone does not work and full of dust. The TV does not work. Very hot and no AC. Train runs about 15m from the window. Kitchenette is a joke. No sound isolation. Nightmare. Absolutely terrible place. I have no idea how anybody can write or see anything positive at all about this place. We will never return.

We’ve only stayed for one night as a stopover in Lyon but we did not have a good experience at all - for something that you pay for almost €115, you would expect a bit more. When we arrived, the toilet brush was in the toilet bowl like someone started cleaning it then abandoned it halfway through? It was only one bath towel and one hand towel given for two people. There was something wrong with the shower as the water didn’t go down the drains, instead it flooded the entire bathroom and covered the floor with half a centimetre water. They expect you to take the bins out (otherwise you will not get your €200 deposit back) but there is no bin in the kitchenette/bedroom. There are no bin bags either where you can put your rubbish in. There is a coffee machine but no coffee or tea provided. There was a very small bottle of washing up liquid with the tiniest amount left in it (wasn’t even foaming or removing the grease from the dishes…) and a sponge to be able to do your washing up, but no tea towel or anything to dry the dishes. Almost as they try to catch you on something, so they don’t have to refund your deposit… Overall it was a very poor experience for something that we paid quite a lot of money for. We had the impression that it is a student accommodation but this was not stated on the website, so it is very misleading. We would not stay there again and would not recommend it to anyone.

Good value hotel. Rooms have well equipped kitchenettes. Beds comfy. Sofabed for 2 as well making it an in deal place for a family of 4. Pool is a bonus plus parking (€12.50) and late midday check out. Easy to explore Lyon by foot and drive to Lyon airport.

Acttually, I read the recommendations to that hotel too late. All is true. I was located at the second floor exactly facing the railway. It was hot, but you could not tilt the windows. Only completely open or close. There was no room service, this was not indicated on the homepage but on the voucher after booking the room. There was a kitchen in the room, a kettle, but nothing to it. As said, for the price I would have expected more than a youth hostel. And with the noise of the passing train not even 15 meters away from both windows, the night was over at 6 a.m.

Bed size is too small for two person to sleep. No AC in the room n makes it very hard to sleep in hot summer. No cleaning service after one day. Bed are not made. Parking there is height restrictions so one can not take the Van. Overall poor experience.

I stayed there as a couple with our youngest daughter on a cold winter night. We specifically booked this hotel because this is one of the few in Lyon with an indoor swimming pool (I called before to double check to see if it was open and heated). After check-in, where we were charged a 400€ credit card deposit, we were informed that the swimming pool was located outside of the premises, like literally across the plaza... So yeah, that's that. Although the room is very nice and spacious (we booked a suite) and the beds comfortable, we found only a single towel per occupant and a desperately cold towel rack with no means to turn it on. So if you shower in the evening, expect a damp towel in the morning. And yes, that a studio suite. In additional minor annoyances, I could not find a power plug nearby the dining table, which forced me to work next to the TV (which was on, because yes, daughter).\ We did not have breakfast, because it was not offered during booking. In my experience, that is a red flag for a possibly poorly stocked buffet (at 12.50€/person, mind you...). Overall and at this price level, I feel the value and the service is not there. So I do not recommend unless you need to be in this area (and even then there are much better, and much cheaper choices).
