Great time in Lyon with hotel Le royal. Love the location and the helpful team, as well as the clean and cozy room that I stayed. Well function and with design. Love the wonderful view from the balcony too

The view from the room was very beautiful. We booked two different room types, one with a red theme and one with a blue theme. They were both gorgeous. The bathroom was large and the breakfast was delicious.

The service attitude is good, and the location is good, but the facilities in the hotel room are too old. The TV automatically turns off after turning it on. I called the service staff, and after watching it for two minutes and leaving, it automatically turns off again. The cabinet under the TV, the door on the left falls down when the door is opened. The room is not soundproof, and the sound of the neighbor opening the luggage can be heard clearly. The bathtub in the bathroom is very old, with some black scratches, and it looks dirty from a distance. There is no socket in the bathroom for hair drying, and there are no USB charging ports on both sides of the bedside table in the room. This is not the first time I come to this hotel. I used to have a good impression of the service and the room. This time, it is obvious that the hotel really needs to be renovated. I will not stay here next time.

Very nice room. This is the second stay we have made in this hotel.
A downside however concerning the hotel bar.
We arrived around 7pm, the waitress was vacuuming (sic).
We ordered 3 glasses of champagne served without any appetizers (olives or others). No background music in the lounge.
For a 5 star hotel it is very disappointing.

This hotel is located in the 6th arrondissement of Lyon, very quiet. There are two rivers next to it, and the surrounding buildings are also very distinctive. It is not a very modern hotel. There are five floors in total, and there is only one small elevator. Remember to bring toothpaste and toothbrush.
