My partner and I booked a couples package/ birthday weekend away which included a room, one round of golf, and one spa treatment. In addition, I added a second golfer to the tee time for, reserved a golf buggy, and booked an extra spa treatment. Unfortunately, there were several issues that significantly impacted our experience. 1. Golf Course and Buggy Issues Upon arrival, we were not informed that the golf course was partially closed. As a result, we were only able to play 15 holes instead of the full 18. We were not made aware of this limitation at the time of booking or when checking in at the pro shop; we only discovered this upon reaching the first tee. Despite being charged full price for two rounds of golf, we were unable to enjoy the complete course despite being charged full price. Additionally, the buggy we reserved was not in working condition and was unusable. After being denied a buggy that I had reserved in advance. 2. Room Condition This stay was intended to be a romantic getaway, as it was advertised on the website. However, upon reaching our room, we were greeted with scaffolding covering the entire building. Additionally, there were multiple issues with the room itself: * The lights were not functioning properly (see attached photos). * The "double bed" was actually two single beds pushed together, which was not ideal for a romantic experience. Due to the gap between the two mattresses, we were basically sleeping in two separate beds, not to mention falling through the middle throughout the night. * The shower pressure was inadequate, the handles were broken, and no body soap was provided. I even selected a more expensive room to ensure the quality of our stay aiming for it to be romantic experience. Given these conditions, the room did not meet the standard expected for the price paid. 3. Dinner and Breakfast Experience We had a dinner reservation for 8 pm. Despite arriving on time, we were asked to wait in the bar area for 30 minutes without being served any drinks or attended to. During dinner, we both ordered steaks. My partners were satisfactory, but mine had a large clump of fat in the centre, which was disappointing (see attached photo). While breakfast was generally fine, I was surprised to find that, despite being advertised as "breakfast included," there was an additional charge for any coffee beyond the standard filtered coffee. This seems misleading and not in line with the advertised inclusions. 4. Check-Out Experience I raised these all the issues with the receptionist upon check-out. Unfortunately, I did not receive an apology for the inconveniences, and while she mentioned that a 20% discount would be applied to our tee times, this was not reflected on my final bill. Overall, I was deeply disappointed with the quality of service and experience, especially considering that the total cost of our stay was nearly £1,000 including meals. While I would typically overlook minor issues, the accumu

Had an amazing time, when we arrived the reception team were very friendly, thank you Renato. We played tennis, went in the spa, had great food in bar 19, then had amazing cocktails in the manor. Breakfast in the Fox was excellent quality, the bedroom was so comfortable, we will definitely be back! To top it all my car was cleaned Thanks Foxhills! 5 stars

Beautiful house, very attentive staff, great facilities, huge bedrooms, lovely homely feel, fabulous golf & spa facilities, surrounded by beautiful woodland. We really felt like we were looked after the whole stay. Excellent value for money and ideal for couples, families or friends. There really is something for everyone.

We returned to Foxhills for our 5th wedding anniversary and always have a wonderful time. Whilst checking in there was an extremely rude lady from room 57 who was very abusive to hotel staff who had been very accommodating to her, it was very distressing to see. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful but she was very threatening to them. She will undoubtedly leave an inaccurate review which should be disregarded as she clearly just wanted financial gain. Her primary complaint was that there were children at a family hotel… The staff (particularly Ursula) handled her outburst with professionalism. We had a wonderful stay. Staff could not have been more helpful and kind. Our room was beautiful. The spa facilities were amazing and I had a pregnancy massage which was as incredible. We will definitely be returning for our anniversary again next year!

I booked the sunder retreat as part of my anniversary celebrations with my partner and we had a lovely time. Upon arrival we were shown to our beautiful room (no.1) and we had been left a complimentary bottle of red and a plate of chocolate. The room was large and the bathroom was very modern and spacious. There was a complimentary coffee machine with milk and water in the fridge. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows were lovely. Unfortunately, perhaps due to the old nature of the building, the room was painfully hot. There was a tower fan and desk fan provided but even with all the windows and doors open, we were dripping with sweat. The tv was also very temperamental and neither of us (both tech savvy) could get the screen to have signal without glitching or the internet dropping in and out, fortunately he had his laptop so we could watch Netflix on there. The restaurant included in the booking (Fox dining rooms) was lovely and the service was fabulous. We both opted for a steak and shared a baked Alaska for dessert. After our meal, the server also bought over another chocolate anniversary plate which was a lovely touch. The only let down in here was, like our room, it was SO hot. We were bought the bill over and the waitress tried to charge us full price (not acknowledging our £80 discount on the retreat package) which we found a bit annoying. Especially when they were aware of our booking circumstances. Breakfast the next morning was delicious and there was a wide range of choices. The muffins on the continental breakfast were to die for! You did however had to pay for coffee as an extra. We had lunch in the XiX cafe on the day of arrival; the food and service was great but for 2 glasses of Pimms, 1 burger, 1 sandwhich and a side cost us £62… The facilities are great and the spa/ pools were lovely. We did get up early on the Monday to visit the gym before we left. Unfortunately we were informed that they had closed the gym until midday for maintenance. This wasn’t much help as we only had access until 11! Overall we had a lovely getaway for our anniversary. With a couple of small tweaks, it would have been a perfect weekend.

I booked three junior suites surrounding a pool which were perfect to celebrate my husbands 80th birthday. Wonderful grounds and pools for fun & relaxation. But our room at £320 per night B&B was less than pristine, a battered bathroom bin and grotty ‘distressed ‘ tray in the kitchenette. Very disappointed in lack of communication in restaurants: at breakfast the food that I served was not what I ordered. I did take this up with the waiter who took my order. Biggest disappointment was the special birthday meal I had planned. When I made the hotel reservation I was advised to book a table for 10 in ‘Nineteen’ restaurant, and the night before the celebration I checked at the restaurant that the table would be reserved. When we arrived for our meal no table was reserved and we had to wait whilst tables were arranged. There was a long wait for food and two incorrect meals arrived. This was not what I wanted for a special 80th birthday celebration.

Lovely stay, beautiful grounds and facilities. Food, both at Dinner & Breakfast was exceptional. Fantastic sports facilities and 3 pools. Didn’t find the third pool until much later. Not told about it. Everyone was welcoming and overall a very enjoyable stay. Only gripe for an expensive trip, a few points of lack of attention to detail: dirty mirror in dining area, a whole pile of cigarette ends outside door to our room and A/C not the best on a hot day.

We chose Foxhills to celebrate our 43rd wedding anniversary and it definitely proved the right move. 100%. The Surrey resort os a class act and has everything you could possible need or require for a short - and memorable - break though obviously the longer you can stay, the better! Plotted in over 400 acres of serene scenery not far from from the major motorway network, Foxhills is ideally located just 25miles from London and it's main airports. So the location is spot on, but it's the first class facilities - fun and thrills for all the family - which will really impress you. In all, you can take advantage of 200 plus activities which include two 18-hole golf courses, several indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a super Spa and a collection of tennis and panel courts. There are a number of splendid eating options too, including the main Fox restaurant in the striking mansion house, and the Nineteenth aptly located within the clubhouse. We stayed in one of the executive suites overlooking one of the outdoor pools and it was top drawer, was spacious and had everything we needed, specially the coffee pod machine! The only disappointment was having to reluctantly check-out.....

Where do I start ? I booked this 19th Century Manor House to celebrate our 8th Wedding Anniversary. From rolling up the long driveway seeing a glimpse of the luxury building through the trees whilst golfers are playing a round really was delightful. At this point we both smile and get that excited feeling knowing that this could be a great find. We parked up, grabbed our stuff and headed into reception where we were greeted with a polite welcome, smile and joy. The reception staff the face of the entire estate gave us the information we needed. All checked in, we were keen to explore our room ! Room 18, we found you, right next to the Tennis Courts & Swimming pool our room was nestled in with what we feel used to be the old stables of the manor house. It was pretty, clean and most of all picturesque of our initial thoughts married up into reality. We entered out room to be surprised with a Welcome card of congratulations for our wedding anniversary amongst a bottle of Red & A plate of brownies, strawberries and the writing happy anniversary. This really made us happy and we had not even explored the room. Our room was beautiful, with a bespoke coffee area, large L shaped lounge with a brilliant sized TV, coffee table. Our bedroom had the biggest bed ever with ample pillows, another good sized TV, Bedside tables, Iron & Ironing board, Robes, Towels, Extra slippers and in the corner nestles delightfully a dressing table for my wife to get glammed up. The bathroom had a bath, shower and everything needed to enjoy some chill time. Verdict, very spacious room, well maintained and extremely clean and tidy. We could fault it. Spa time, We went to the spa and enjoyed a well earned Luxury DIY Hammam treatment. This was beyond relaxing. The staff here were kind, helpful and very informative. The facilities were as of a 5 Star spa. Great secure changing rooms and some amazing products you can purchase. A very lovely couple of hours. Dinner at the Fox! Absolutely blown away by the amazing food here, the presentation, the service, the décor, the views, everything was just so calm, relaxing and flowed like a top restaurant should flow. We had the Himalayan Ribeye Steak and also some desserts. I feel everyone who visits needs to enjoy this restaurant so I wont go into too much details as so you can enjoy this amazing Restaurant!! Staff were amazing. We then headed back to our room to enjoy that bottle of wine and get some rest. Breakfast back at the Fox Dining Rooms. Perfect again, beautifully served cooked breakfast or amazingly selected continental breakfast available with different fruit juices and hot drinks available. We sat outside soaking up the morning sun before checking out. On check out we had the amazing reception team as check in. They were very insightful and interested to know how our stay was. They even shared some amazing history of the owners with Foxhills. Truly amazing stay and we WILL be back. I have added some
