I would like to firstly express how welcoming and customer friendly the team were throughout my stay, also the food was lovely and well presented. I would like to mention that the room i stay in (room 5) was next to or was situated nearby appliances (with perhaps fans) which continuously made a noise throughout the night - travel/road noise was expected due to the location of the establishment. If i were to stay here again i would look to avoid this room as i am a light sleeper.

Lovely place. The hosts couldn't have been more welcoming, food was nice,breakfast was excellent. Chef and brewer really need to spend some money on decor as it looked dated and there was gaffer tape holding the carpet together in the dinning room.New carpets and a fresh lick of paint would make so much difference to this lovely old building.

Lovely people The staff could not be lovelier but this place is in need of some serious TLC in the rooms. There were roadworks right outside which meant that it took forever to go anywhere. Room 5 was directly next to a huge vent which was a constant humming sound making it almost impossible to sleep. The shower had mould which had just been covered up by silicone and the room itself was incredibly basic. I understand this is likely due to the fact that this was a cheap place to stay for the weekend but at over £100 a night with no breakfast included I still felt it was lacking.

Staff were amazing. Very welcoming and friendly. The room was dark and there was a noisy generator outside that switched on and off. I was offered another room the next morning. Food was good as was the service.
