Stanwell House

My husband and I stayed here for one night last night. We have to say that is was an awesome beautiful stay. The hotel is just beautiful. Our room was spotless and an extremely cosy bed, with very chic decor. (Room 10)Loved it. The staff are very polite and profressional in every way, very attentive. I must mention the Supervisor 'Dan' who I feel went above and beyond to ensure that our meal in the restaurant went well which it did. The food was outstanding. The Blade of Beef Cottage pie was exceptionally good. Dan was very aware of everyone in the restaurant, and even made time to engage in conversation with us but without being intrusive. He is a credit to the hotel. He clearly enjoys his job too which is obvious to one and all. All the staff were lovely. I cannot recommend this hotel and staff enough. It truely is a gem of a hotel. The Stay and Dine with Us Offer was just perfext See you all again soon. Oh yes. The cocktails were rather good too!!!

I can not fault this beautiful boutique hotel, the staff are incredible, the food is amazing and the interior design warm and homely with a dash of elegance. The team are so helpful and will arrange the countless activities that can be found on the doorstep of the hotel including a rib to the se the needles around the Isle of White to foraging the new forest. The beds are super comfy with the most softest pillows, each room individually styled with amazing showers and stan alone baths. Can't wait to return.

Congratulations to Stanwell House on their first Wine Dinner since the hotel’s refurbishment. It was wonderful evening of quality food/service and expert advice from Gusbourne Wine Ambassador Steve Kirkham. The fish course felt like it would test my boundaries! My only previous experience of cockles has been of an intense vinegar and gritty morsels served in a paper cup at the beach. However, The Turbot, squid ink linguine and cockle cream dish was absolutely delicious. Looking forward to seeing which wine is featured next.

We came for 3 nights and loved everything: fab decor, friendly but professional staff, great room, perfect location. Food all locally sourced and high quality, delicious produce. Beautifully and recently renovated, no expensive spared. Breakfast up there with the best. Menu good, only small thing would be to have 3 starters with Sunday lunch as little on the daily menu offers small starters. Small thing. Loved our stay and considering we came for a rest from a tough time and family loss, this hotel has made us feel so relaxed, welcome and valued customers. Will be back.

My sister and I took my parents for an overnight stay to Stanwell House Hotel. I had read positive reviews prior to booking, and was cautiously optimistic that we would like the hotel. Our stay completely exceeded all expectations in every way. The hotel staff, without exception, were all so friendly, welcoming and polite. They were clearly well trained in the etiquette of great service for the guest. The hotel is an absolute gem, it has recently been fully refurbished and to an excellent standard. Everywhere was immaculate, stylish and elegant with plenty of quirky features and careful attention to detail. We enjoyed two upgraded rooms which were unexpected and unnecessary, but very much appreciated and both rooms had the wow factor with space, comfort, fabulously comfortable beds and glorious bathrooms. Dining in the restaurant was equally first rate and the sharing seafood platter was utterly delicious, followed by a perfectly cooked chateaubriand. Compliments to the chefs, it was faultless and good value. Finally to a delicious breakfast, we all enjoyed something different and it was all spot on. This is my first review, I usually cannot be bothered, it is entirely genuine and we have no affiliation with the hotel. Please give this charming and delightful hotel your booking, it is so much more individual and wonderful than chains such as The Pig, we have stayed in the local one and without doubt, Stanwell knocks spots off the competition! Huge well done, thank you for making our stay very special and keep up the good work, we loved it!!

I have eaten in the Salt Bar quite a few times now and it never disappoints..great food, cocktails, wine and atmosphere. Service is always fantastic and a special mention to Zac who makes you feel so welcome and is so helpful and accommodating
